Boston should be careful, the Hawks scorekeepers might have Garnett fouling out in the 1st quarter.

I think the last .5 seconds would have to replayed again.....

But I doubt Atlanta would let Ford go to the basket like that again.

i dont think its going to be outruled.

it's really hard to start the clock at the right time anyway.

0.5 seconds left, game tied. Carlos Delfino inbounds the ball to underneath the rim for an alley-oop layup for TJ Ford. The refs review the play, and say the ball was still it was still in TJ Ford's fingertips as he layed it in. The Raps tell the refs to check if the clock was started early, they say it wasn't. The Raps TV crew replays the play, a play with a clear view of TJ Ford, the ball, and the game clock over the backboard and it clearly shows the clock started before the ball even touched TJ Ford's hands.

essentially, TJ hit a game winning alley-oop layup with 0.5 s to go. 'Cept the clock started before he even caught the ball so the basket was overruled.

It's not the ONLY reason for the loss, but it's pretty significant.

Basically they threw an alley-oop to TJ Ford with 0.5 seconds left. but they started the clock before the ball hit his hands (aorund 0.3-0.4s was left when his hands touched the ball). The ball went in but it was at his finger tips RIGHT when the buzzer went off. So those extra 0.1-0.2 seconds definitely would've made the difference.

delfino throws an alley oop pass from out of bounds, ford makes the layup.

the timekeepers started the clock early, and the shot didnt count (the clock was already past 0.4secs mark even before tj touched the ball)

For those that don't know the story, Raptors were up by 3 and Bibby tied it with .5 seconds left. Raptors called a timeout and did an alley-oop layup to TJ Ford, which went in, but was overturned because it was 0.1 seconds too late. But looking at the replay again, you see the clock started early and the play clock was at 0.4 seconds before TJ even touched the ball. Refs say no basket, game goes to overtime, Raptors lose.

Agreed, but they started the clock WAY to early.

I can understand not starting it EXACTLY, but they started the clock while the ball was still about a meter away from TJ. Not acceptable, and quite frankly, Atlanta Hawks have something funny going on in their arena.

This is now the 4th game they have cheated to get a win, not them personally, the scorekeepers/refs.

It was Delfino at halfcourt who threw a zinger to the rim, Childress (guarding Ford) got caught up in a screen and let Ford glide to the rim, catching the ball mid air and instantly releasing it to the rim. Once he caught the ball it was already 0.4 seconds. How is that possible?

time keepers are cheaters...against the heat, they screwed raps last season and again this season
