Sox should trade for Bill Hall

Since Bill Hall has requested a trade today I was just thinking that the Sox should try and pry him away from the Brewers to help ease Big Papi loss. Sure, he's not gonna do what Big Papi can but Hall is a quality player himself. Hall, 28, filled in for injured shortstop J.J. Hardy in 2006 and had his best season, slugging 35 homers and driving in 85 runs, earning team MVP honors. He can play 3B, SS, 2B or any of the OF positions so Im sure he can fit in somewhere. Only negative is his .227 batting average, but his 9 homeruns is pretty decent. I believe he'd come cheap for the Sox so it would be a worth while deal.

Sure if Milwaukee would trade him for Lugo. Otherwise I don't see it. I just don't see him as the type of power bat that can replace Ortiz and even then that 227 avg is putrid.

Don't see the upside. Chris Carter is better as a DH/LF and Julio Lugo is amazingly better as a SS, Pedroia is a better 2B and Lowell is a better 3B.

Bill Hall had his two really nice years and has sandwiched them between 1200 atbats of suck. He's a brutal baseball player at this point.

Know who the Sox should trade for? Jeff Clement. He can play first, DH, and catch and he could be the heir apparent for Jason Varitek. Plus, he

Yeah, but it's pronounced Ba-vase-hat. Sorta like how Buzzie Bavasi is pronounced.

I do think that the Sox should at least take a look at trading for Hall. He would be a good fit for their team and bring another bat and some power.
