Does the Hawks management ask the ushers in the arena to move people around during the games to make it look like people showed up? Most of the game there was virtually nobody on the lower level then by the end of the game it looked packed.
With the ninth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Raptors select Vyacheslav Kravtsov from the Ukraine. In Jim Kelly we trust!

I wish. It's actually incredibly hard to move down during Hawks games, I've tried countless times and failed. There two possible explanations for this: The first is that we always have a very late arriving crowd. The second is that the side you see on TV is all a club level, so a lot of people aren't in their seats and are hanging out drinking/eating/talking on the club level. They probably decided to actually go watch the game when it got so close.

There was also a Braves game tonight at Turner Field. That and it is a wednesday night, not many people can stay up that late, get in their car or ride the horror that is MARTA, get home (cause most people live in the burbs), then wake up early the next morning and face the traffic.

They've got a lot of talent, but the Hawks can't seem to translate the talent into wins. Maybe in a couple of years this team can really take off, and become a 50 win team. As much as I hate the Hawks (never did, just now because of the TJ incidents, injury and today) they are still pretty exciting.

Actually the cameras show the bench side crowd more often. The club is notoriously spotty because the package for most club seats is all events (basketball, hockey, and other) and beyond that some of those seats are empty because people are up in the bar/restaurant areas or in some of the party rooms. We also have some good crowds on the lower ends for some games because of ticket deals and some charity programs.
We have a paid attendance always over 11,000 because of how a lot of the seats are sold. Midweek games are always lower and opponent name affects the attendance a lot. I was absent tonight because I got stuck at work until almost 9pm without any forewarning (or I would have gotten the tix to another fan to use).

Only way Toronto has a chance of getting out of the first round is if they play a crappy team like Washington. You would get your ass swept by Boston no doubt about it.
