Would you have signed Isaiah Rider in the early 90s? Every guy that did regretted it.
By the way, it's pretty hard to defend an assertion that you know an NBA player's emotional motivation for doing anything he did, whether he said something about it or not (but especially if he didn't). Incentive motivations are much easier to defend and base expectations off of, but still not going to be reliable.
stay on point moofs, Artest of Peja anyday anytime...bad move for the Pacers....
How in the world was I off-point? You asserted that you knew Artest was only crazy because he loves the game. I counter that even if that's true (it's not), "loving the game" is a pretty lame excuse for being crazy off the court. Even a trashed-drunk painkiller-addicted DA (district attorney) who got through college with all D-'s wouldn't buy it. I gave you a tip (for at least the second time on that particular topic, might I add) for future reference on how to avoid making a really bad and indefensible argument.
The Pacers knew that Peja was a talent downgrade from Artest when they made that deal. Like I said, they were forced into it by Artest and justified it knowing they were getting rid of a known headcase.
