Toughest schedules down the stretch?

Post#1 » by BiggMann » Thu Apr 3, 2008 1:18 pm

Utah has a very tough schedule to finish off the regular season.

vs. Spurs
at. Hornets
at Mavericks
vs. Nuggets
vs. Rockets
at. Spurs.

... right now we are 3.0 games out of 1st, 4.0 games from not making the playoffs at all, and 3.0 games in front of Denver for that 4th spot.

In my eyes the playoffs start friday against the Spurs, but if Utah can go 3-3 in that stretch the 4th seed is ours.. anything more we may have homecourt and anything less we could drop in the standings pretty far.

So i'm curious to know what kinda of scheudle your team has to wrap up the season, and could it affect your seeding?

Boston has probably the easiest. But that's because they played all the tough teams already. They still have 60 wins right now.

What confuses me about the Celtics is why Doc Rivers continues to play their starters big minutes, it's like he doesn't know how to coach or something.

Last night he said that the starters will play reduced minutes and will sit out a game or two, at different times. Pierce will miss the game at Charlotte because of his fiancee giving birth, and Doc might keep out either Garnett or Ray against Milwaukee.

Isn't that just your basic schedule when you play in the west?

LMAO...you call that a basic schedule?

That's death row man!

Utah struggles the next six games and they could be out of the playoffs. We are going to need at least a 3-3 record to hangon to the division.

But if thats a basic schedule! :o :o

Damn that's a tough schedule. Hopefully you beat New Orleans and at least one of the Spurs' games though. Those are the ones that concern the Lakers the most.

Yeah, it's a tough schedule, but the situation's not quite as precarious as you're making it out to be. If the Jazz go 3-3, we'll end with 53 wins. Just to match that total, Denver would have to win its last 7 games, which will be tough since they have games against the Warriors, the Jazz and the Rockets. If the Jazz win the game against the Nuggets, all that will have to happen for them to clinch a playoff spot is one win or one loss by the Nuggets or Warriors and all that will have to happen for them to clinch the division is one win or a Nuggets loss.
