I was once parked outside of McGeorge, and when I came back, the side window of my car was broken. I had a megaphone in there worth over $100, but that wasn't stolen, and nothing else was really worth stealing. There was a rock inside, so it seems like it might have just been kids throwing rocks at cars.

But it really is kinda relative. My friend was once at a party in Natomas, and a car pulled up and a bunch of people got out and started beating everyone at the party. Out of nowhere, my friend got punched in the face by a guy wearing brass knuckles.

Of course the guy was yelling "that's how we do it in South Sac", but the point stands that no neighborhood is totally safe.

McGeorge is right on the boarder of Oak Park. The freeway pass is right there and you can walk to a half way house across the freeway and then the next street over its a subarb. Kevin Johnson lives in the area there. a minute the area changes hella much

Not all Oak Park is bad but it defiantly has its spots where you shouldn't go, and i went there.. it was a dumb move but i was 14 at the time

We have fox sports bay area, so that gives us all the Warriors games, and we get most of the Raiders and 49ers games I believe. Comcast Sports Net televises every Kings game.

It really depends on your cable/satellite provider.

You should give baseball a chance this season.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

Eh, probably. I kinda like baseball but yeah. The last baseball game I saw was the Barry Bonds one. When he did that historic HR. I think that was back in August IIRC. I do watch the all star game(or whatever it called...lol...) for baseball, though. Eh, if I eventually do watch baseball...I still dont know which team to root for...lol... I guess the Oakland A's or SF Giants...

The San Jose Earthquakes probably won't be on TV much, but the MLS Thursdays on ESPN is still cool enough. The US team usually makes it to the Bay Area once a year. If you're really into Soccer you'll need to have GolTV and Fox Soccer Channel.

As for baseball we do have the A's AAA affiliate. RiverCats games are cool to me, but I'm a big baseball fan. Last year Preston North End of the 2nd div English league played Monterrey from Mexico at Raley Field (RiverCats stadium). Also Chelsea makes a tour in the US and they played Club America at Standford University last year. That was cool, too.

On 2nd thought stay in New England!

Seriously though this town is split between Giants and A's fans, but I'd give the nod to the A's. I like the Giants, but I'm not a die hard fan to any one team anymore.

Speaking as pretty much a non-baseball fan, I also like River Cats' games. The team is usually pretty good I think, and it's a really cool atmosphere.

One 4th of July I took my family so we could see the fireworks after. Why was the game 13 innings and didn't end till 1am! As much as I love baseball I hated it that night.

I'm at the game tonight and it's wack! It's my daughter's 11th birthday so I can't hang out in the bar. This game has been over for a while.
