5 Greatest Dunkers

Post#1 » by Harry10 » Fri Apr 4, 2008 8:48 am

1. Julius Erving
2. Michael Jordan
3. Dominique Wilkins
4. Vince Carter
5. Isiah Rider

shouldn't Isiah Rider be in the top 5, just for pioneering the "between the legs" dunk?

my top 5 may be different than everyone else's, but let me say it is MY OPINION, so there is no reason arguing with me because it won't change.

1. Wilkins
2. Vince Carter
3. MJ
4. Dr. J
5. Kemp

There's no way Isaiah Rider should be up there in the top five.

Vince Carter has to be at the top of this list for any serious dunk connoisseur.

in his prime, Carter could do any dunk that any of these guys did, Mike, Nique, Dr. J, and was really the first guy to seriously innovate and make people consider other possibilities of dunks that could be done in the dunk contest since MJ and Nique. For years we all know how boring it was before Carter came along.

for me its gotta be

Carter
Jordan
Wilkins
Kemp
David Thompson

Dr.J (Honorable Mention)
Connie Hawkins(Honorable Mention)
James White(Honorable Mention)
Ronnie Fields(Honorable Mention) (my gratuitous non NBA name)

I'd have to say that Drexler was a really GOOD dunker, but top 5?

I don't even think he finished top 5 in the dunk contest he was in.
