I've been a big fan of his since he entered the league and it's amazing to see how far he's grown as a player over the years. Just curious, is it top priority for the hawks organization to sign him long term this off season or let him walk? Any other info on his game, attitude etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and good luck the rest of the way.

All indications are that we will hold onto him. But you never know with our FO.

BTW, love the screen name. String was the man.

Don't be mislead by those 2 threes. That was a rare occurrence. He's my favorite player, but that was shocking.

He's the heart of the franchise and our key defender. I believe the statements about matching any offer he gets in the open market.

Yes, they will match ANY offer for Smoove. Ownership has been keeping this team payroll low until they could turn the finacial situation around. They are now starting to turn a profit. Hawks attendance is going up(couldn't tell by tonight). Now is the time for them to show they are committed. The Bibby trade offers some hope that they are.

Josh Smith is one of the best players in the league at matching up with Bosh. Raps need him.

If the Hawks ownership group knows what its doing (which for the most part they are clueless), they would match anything JSmoove receives on the open market. I'm sure the Hawks aren't going to offer him a contract first. This guy is the only one who plays with much heart for the majority of the games, changes games with his shot blocking, and is improving his shot. He's a pretty underrated passer too. We are all looking for big things from Smoove in the future. Hopefully, the hometown kid stays in the ATL.

If not, im sure the Raps and every team in the league with capspace would be open to Smoove on their squad.

Horford? JJ?

Smith had pretty much dissapeared since the all star break until a week or so ago.

This is kind of true... he had a few big games (in the the 22 rebound game against Houston he showed a lot of grit) but for the most part he seemed to have lost some of his fire. Glad he found it.
