It's easily the Knicks if the criteria is embarrassment to the NBA.
- Knicks are a storied franchise and MSG is considered the mecca of the NBA and obviously it's a huge huge market so any failures by this franchise is not only a failure for the Knicks but the City & the NBA as a league.
- Knicks failures on court as bad as it is pales in comparison to the scandal / disgrace Isiah brought to the team
really it's not even close considering the on-court product / the off-court legal issues / and the status of the franchise.

THe poll and OP ask different questions. Clearly the Knicks are the most embarassing with their grotesque payroll, preseason trash talking, sexual harassment issues, and the level of scrutiny from the NY papers, networks, etc.
However they are far from the most worthless franchise since they have a storied arena and history, a large and fanatic fan base (that Dolan hasn't been able to completely turn off), and everything they need to be a premier NBA franchise again except for intelligence at the top.
The most worthless is the Clippers who are an afterthought in their own city even if they make the playoffs and haven't been contenders since they moved from Buffalo almost 40 years ago.
