If Paul keeps having similar seasons for the next 10+ years and has playoff success then he deserves to be up there.

Paul's current season is as about as good of a season any PG has had in any era. If he can keep this up (heck, he might even get better), I'm comfortable saying he's better than anybody with the possible exception of Magic.

It's premature right now though. All I'll say now is that if Paul can play like this for 3-4 more years, than he'll have had a better peak than Stockton.

If by "up there" you mean "far beyond any territory Stockton deserves mention in", then I agree.

hes gotta make some noise in the playoffs and carry his team year in and out for the cup and than maybe we can discuss this. Afterall this is CP3's first season putting up 20-10 assist and has yet to play a single playoff game nor won any.

Yeah exactly, Stockton easy right now, unless Paul can change my mind. He has plenty of time to do it though.

You cant compare these guys, its not fair for both of them, because one guy played on high level for 16 years, and the other guy is just starting to hit his prime.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

Stockton's 17.2/14.5/2.7/51% FG/41% 3P was a better season then the one Paul is having right now I think. Nobody has ever come close to that many assists in a season, and his shooting was on lock down. He was also one of the top 5 PG defenders at the time.

But Paul is having a great season no doubt, one of the best from a PG in NBA history.

I think he will pass him as an overall PG. The only guys I don't seem him passing are Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson. But Stockton as of now is better then Paul at pretty much every aspect except on the offensive end, even then its hard to give that to Paul, because Stockton was a hell of a 3 pt shooter.
