As for the nickname, all I have to say is "meh". The passing of the nickname is kind of a passing of the torch between the old dominant and new dominant big man more than anything, whether Shaq likes it or not.

Yeah I know, I saw Shaq in his rookie year, but I'm saying he doesn't remind anyone of Superman speed-wise, he never did. Jordan reminds people of Superman because he was moving like the speed of light (especially during the 80s) he looked like a taller version of Iverson. And of course he could fly and hang. Shaq is such a big figure and not fast compared to guys like Iverson and Jordan. Superman is just not the image.

Thats what makes Superman so great, he has a gay outfit, squeeky clean ungangster image yet the Superman symbol is the most recognisable icon in superhero history and also overall in society its very historical almost like a religious symbol.

yeah i agree you cant give yourself a nickname. superman was given to dwight he didnt go out and say hey guys call me superman for no on ok!
