You think Redd contributes more to winning games than Bogut does? And so much more that his advantage should be obvious to most?

Experienced GM FTW!

(picture)

Seriously though, I can't imagine an attractive GM candidate from another team would want to come here...so this one kind of scares me.

No. You don't have to interrogate John Hammond for this GM job. If he is interested, you hire him.

Again, no one is UNTOUCHABLE or should be on this team regardless to what Gery says. No one!

If the GM comes in here he should be able to move anyone he deems fit to improve this team.

John Hammond maybe overqualified for this job...

So how soon people forget how many years Redd carried the Bucks on his back, most notably Terry Porters first season as coach.
Andrew Bogut will be a better player then Redd, that much I know. But saying Redd isnt the best player on the Bucks RIGHT NOW, is insane. Sorry but it is.

It's insane if the only thing you are looing for in a player is PPG.

The Grandpa from Jurassic Park is going to be the GM? YES!

How could we forget the year Redd put the team on his back and led us to an average record? The NBA Dynasty Series dvd box set is coming out any day now.

Seriously.

I've never seen mediocrity romanticized like it is on this board.

I guess most of us posters are pretty young 20-30's, and a lifetime of watching loser Bucks and Brewers teams have made us into weenies.

If I am going to be a weenie, can I be a big weenie at least? :D

I would have liked to at least see what Redd could be if he played with an all-star. The talent around him has been horrible as have his coaches.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We'd also like to see what Bogut and Mo would look like alongside an all-star.

Was Bosh an All-Star when CV was there?

If not, I think Mason and Gadz are the only two guys on our team to have played with an All-Star.

I guess Ruffin had Arenas and Voskuhl probably had some one some where.

I have some serious manlove for Noc, and for midranger now too as a GM candidate. If he isn't going to take the job then don't worry, I'll come to Naples and interview you!

I don't understand the appeal of Noc on the Bucks, and this is coming from a fan of his. He's a glue guy that can help out a good team, but he won't make a bad team any better.

That's a very good point DrugBust. I just like him, but you're right- he is a damn solid "missing piece for a championship run" kind of guy, but he wouldn't do that for the Bucks.

I'd still like him on the team either way.

The sticking point with me is the price tag. On a good team with a legit star or two like the Spurs or Suns or Lakers or Pistons, I could see spending 7-8 million if it meant I was going to get a guy that could come in and play good basketball, not screw anything up, know his role and do the little things.

But I don't think I want to pay a guy that much to be a glue guy on a bad team.

Yeah, I was thinking $ plus what we would have to give up for him. I'm assuming he's not a FA this off-season, but if he is then no chance because teams that can compete will throw silly dollars. If he has to be traded for then same idea- a team ready to compete will make a silly trade for him, I say a team ready to compete because I am assuming Isiah will not have a job to make trades this off-season, and if he does he won't trade for a white guy.

:D

He's got four years with an option for a fifth and I'm guessing the Bulls are wishing they didn't have that type of long term obligation. Had they been a 55 win team this year, maybe they're thinking differently.

Just a guess, though. Like I said, I like Noc. There are a lot of good teams that would probably like to have him at that price tag. I just can't see the Bucks being one of them.

Paul Pierce looked like the most tradeable Celtic at the end of last season. Now he looks look good with the trades they made. Keep Bogut, Yi and Redd with the right people and things will look good. The rest of the team sucks, but not our mvp SESSIONS!

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
