Denver @ Seattle

Key Matchup:
Seattle's Pride vs. Denver's Focus.
The Sonics were embarrassed in the last teams meeting, and should come out looking for revenge. The Nuggets have to remember that it took hardwork and energy to win that game, and it will take the same tonight.

Last Meeting: March 26th, 2008
168-116 Denver victory
Denver put up one of the best scoring games in NBA history, and set a franchise record for win differential and an NBA record with 49 fast break points.
8 players scored in double figures and everyone on the team scored.
The Nuggets shot 60% from the field and 52% from 3, and racked up 44 assists.
Durant was Seattle's high scorer with 23.

Denver: 46-30
Rank 11th in offense and 9th in defense
This will be Nene's 5th game back from surgery/chemotherapy.
Jr Smith averaged 16/2/3 in March, in under 22 minutes per game.

Keys to winning:
Maintaining a consistent sense of urgency to get into the playoffs and win the division.
Making the extra pass on a consistent basis.
Staying home on shooters
Treating the game like a playoff game in every way, regardless of the opponent.

Last 5 Games:
W Sacramento
W Phoenix
L Phoenix
W Golden State
W Dallas

Seattle: 17-59
Rank 30th in offense and 24th in defense.
Gelabale is out with a torn ACL
Durant scored a career low 4 points against Houston on Friday

Last 5 Games:
L Houston
L Clippers
L Sacramento
L Charlotte
L Washington

Don't know if that is Melo's best picture. I want to see a picture of him on defense some day.

Really need this one today. Won't make up for last night, but it will prevent further damage from being done and may actually solidify the playoff position despite last night.

What I am looking for is JR to play more efficiently, AI to insert himself in a good way and get involved, Kleiza to take a step back but contribute at least 10 points, and Melo to know his effort is not wasted and to bring the same effort again tonight. Oh yeah.....Camby and Kenyon are crucial to sparking all of this.

Say we win tonight and GSW lose, we're up 1 with 5 games left. Ok, now we lost @ GSW, now we're tied. We lose @ Utah, now we're a game back. How do we know that the Suns will be playing their starters when they play GSW? Thats why last night was a huge game. We could've wasted 2 and still got in. Now we gotta go 5-1 to make sure we get in and don't have to rely on anyone else.

dallas plays at phoenix, vs. utah and vs. new orleans
if they lose those 3, we only need to go 4-2

remember...they're still 1-11 against .500+ teams.

also...brandon roy is coming back soon, and dallas also plays at portland next week. that's a tough game (dallas is 16-22 on the road)

its no guarantee golden state beats every bad team.
they lost to sacramento and charlotte in march, atlanta and chicago in february and minnesota/indiana in january.

phoenix will be playing their starters because they're trying to catch the lakers for the division title and/or get the highest seed possible.

i'm watchin the GSW vs NOH game. the hornets are a fckin hot team with a very unselfish style to play basketball.

i can't decide if i want us to stay 8th or if i want us to be 7th. i mean we would have to face the Spurs in playoffs OR the lakers which we seem not to be able to beat because the only guy we guard is kobe.
if we stay 8th we have to face the hornets but i think our chances are higher to beat them than the lakers...

:-?

BTW GO NUGGETS !!!

Just win...should not be a close game unless the Nuggets will make it.

We need to play this game tonight as a team with a sense of purpose. Stop playing down to the competition and make the competition play up to us.

I'd rather face the hornets than any other top team
unless phoenix can get the number 1 spot

I could care less about who's playing and who's out!as we proved last night bad teams don'tt need their best players to beat us(2 of top 3 players aretest/miller were out).

they expect to be able to turn it on in the 3rd and 4th period and if they continue to play that way us fans will only have to deal with it 5 more games.

it pains me to know how good this team could really be when Healthy!
trust me...i know what the hell i'm talking about!
