I'm not gonna let this bother me. It's just a list after all.
Ask yourself this question: who would rather have on your team? Dwight or Amare?

Stein is a West Coast guy anyway. He used to cover the Dallas Mavericks for one of the papers in that area. He always is pimping the players and teams in the Western Conference. Even the guys from the East he talks about usually used to play in the West like Kevin Garnett.
Don't you think it's funny how when writers from other cities write about the Magic it's always "whispers out of Orlando?'' That is the third time we have seen that attribution in the past two weeks, and I think it's a pretty weak one personally. That could be absolutely anyone who just happens to be in Orlando when he says it. It could be Shaq! He is "out of Orlando.''
I mean, Hedo has been extremely consistent this season, and he is much more experienced. You would expect him to be more consistent. And Dwight didn't even look like himself against the Cavs on Sunday. Still, Amare hasn't played center all season. He should not be picked for an honor at a position he only played for a half-season.
I have heard some other national guys talk up Howard for first team, though. On his radio show the other day, Stan addressed the lack of respect that the Magic and Dwight get. He said that the team and Dwight know they are going to have to win in the playoffs to get the kind of respect they are looking for. It's good to know they at least have talked about the situation and understand it for what it is.
I had to laugh at the ESPN coverage Saturday, though. As soon as the game is over, they cut to other programming. Like we were going to die if they didn't switch to SportsCenter immediately. You can bet if the Cavs had won, LeBron would have been on for a Q&A for at least 5 minutes. And they already had had him on before the game and at halftime. They clearly are a sports entertainment product because they show absolutely no objectivity.
One ESPN guy is giving the Magic credit this season, though -- Jon Barry. When he is a color commentator for other games, he always mentions that people need to look at the Magic more seriously than they have so far. And they did say that Hedo is a legitimate candidate for Most Improved, though an unconventional one, and that Van Gundy is a candidate for Coach of the Year.

I thought the same thing and was gonna write something similar. Game is over, buzzer sounds and what do they show? Lebron walking away dejected to the lockeroom. They dont interview a single Magic player and quickly move on to Sportscenter. Your telling me that Sportcenter couldnt have waited an extra minute to interview the player of the winning team? There is no doubt on my mind that if the Cavs win that game that they quickly get a hold of Lebron and interview him for a couple of minutes. Thats poor biased coverage and its disrespectful. The E on is ESPN truly stands for entertaiment intended for the casual fan. Thats why i dont really watch ESPN anymore unless i have to.

Amare is the worst defensive big in the league. His opponent PER is 21.8 which is second to last in the NBA.

I really don't watch the Suns, even though it's hard not to with all their nationally televised games, but 21.8 PER is like making every player you face an allstar. Obviously, his flops only work against Dwight.
