I can't help you with that decision. I've already got a single sweet ticket for game 4 and I'm hoping we win at least 1.
I'm actually thinking of trying to put together a group for game 3, but I believe I'm in ticketmaster timeout for too much searching. I can't get their site up anymore.

yeah dallas, I meant game 3 as the 1st one played at Phillips after those 2 on the road. The thing is, I've seen this team struggle through so long, so I guess it's just fair that not only me but all of us get a chance to see them playing a playoff game at home. Hopefully we'll be able to get a good deal.
GO HAWKS.

You guys are really lucky to find tickets for $20 to the first home games. The cheapest you can find them in Boston are like $60-70. My buddies and I have season tickets which normally cost $55/seat. For the first round they go up to $65, $75 for the second round, $85 for the ECF, and $110 for the Finals. We had to pay for the first two rounds on March 15th and the second two rounds on April 15th. It's pretty absurd all around.

Portland, Boston, and New York are the only three teams that were in the lottery last year and have attendance in the top half of the league this year. Playoff tickets are a huge incentive for getting people into season ticket packages and increasing attendance. Look at the change in attendance for the teams that made the playoffs in 2007 but did not in 2006:
Golden State up over 1400
Orlando up 200
Toronto up 1200
Houston up 900
Utah up 400
Here is the decrease for the teams that dropped out
Indiana down over 3000
Memphis down 2000
Milwaukee down 700
Sacramento down over 3000
LA Clippers down over 1600
Paying for the additional two games that are almost definitely not going to be played is a pain. What I figure into the price is what that money would be earning for the two months, when it is reasonably expected back. That is usually less than the markup on a scalped or Ticketmaster ticket, just alittle more admin. It is also possible to resell extra tickets as well to recoup some of the money.
At any rate, enjoy the playoffs and I hope the Bibby trade was a signal of things to come this summer (i.e. signing your FA's).
