Game Thread: Denver Nuggets @ Seattle Supersonics

Post#1 » by Det the Threat » Sun Apr 6, 2008 12:01 pm

The last time those two teams played each other the Sonics got hammered in Denver, giving up 168 Points to the Nuggets and losing by 52. This time around Kevin Durant and the rest of his Sonics teammates are trying to not get pushed around like that, as they're trying to end a 5 game losing streak.

When and Where?

Sunday, April 6th, 6:00 p. m. PT, Key Arena, Seattle, Washington

This game will be broadcasted by FSN NW in HD

Questions:
Can we keep them under 150?
What will we be able to do against Camby?
Can Durant and Green at least somehow match what Iverson and Anthony will produce?

Last two games to the Nuggets the Sonics gave up 168pts and 138pts.

Let's hope they can keep it under 137 and build upon previous experience/embarrasment.

Keeping them under 120, would make me smile and I'd consider this season a success.

I kind of agree. I will be happy if we can them under 120 points. Also, we should be able to score at least 100 against the Nuggets.

Wow, I just checked in. We didn't keep them under 120 the way I had hoped, but needless to say, I am very satisfied.

That was impressive. That shot at the end of 1st OT was way deep. Congrats on a good win and a measure of payback against the Nuggets.

Wow that game was almost as good as the Atlanta game with KD first buzzer beater to win the game.

I haven't seen Jeff Green so unconscious since the first time the Sonics played Utah.

Considering how KD has gone away from shooting the 3 recently those two shot were freakin huge. I wonder where they park the horse and wagon at????

You know the horse wagon that has to haul KD's huge brass balls back to his house. Because you know they can't fit in his car.

I think this game was better. The only really exciting thing I remember about the Atlanta game is the Durant buzzer beater. I think that this game was better because it was higher scoring, it was against a team that really needed a win (to make it into the playoffs) so it mattered, which means it was against tougher competition, and most of all, this game really showcased our rookies.

And there were people at this game.

A buzzer beater is only exciting if there's actually a crowd (which there never is in Atlanta).

That's why those full-court high-school game heaves on the 1am sports shows never did it for me.
