Who do you want to see make the second round first

Post#1 » by tmacformvp07 » Mon Apr 7, 2008 7:02 am

4 choices

1. Tracy Mcgrady - Houston Rockets => Has never made it past the first round and is 0-6 in his playoff career and is 0-3 in game 7's. Although he has elevated his post season stats in each of the playoff series he has been, his team has never made it past the first round. And it is not looking to good for the rockets and round virgin as Yao Ming arguably the most dominant center in the league will not be in the post season as he is out for the season with a fracture on his foot.

2. Grant Hill - Phoenix Suns ==> In his 14 season he too hasn't made it past the first round but most of it was because of his injury, but now with Phoenix a title contender his playoffs woe could be history

Playoff stats for Grant HIll

Career             NBA     19     692     134     288     2     5     84     112     26     125     99     20     8     59     54     354     .465     .400     .750     36.4     18.6     6.6     5.2

3. Kobe Bryant - Los Angeles Lakers ==> Ever since Shaq has left the lakers, the lakers haven't made it past the first round, first year post shaq, the team failed to make the playoffs while the other 2 seasons, Kobe and the lakers were eliminated by the Phoenix games in 7 2 seasons ago and in 5 last season and it is very likely that these 2 teams will meet again. But with a better team and most likely home court advantage in the first round the chances for Kobe and the lakers to move out of the first round is very high.

4. Carmello Anthony - Denver Nuggets ==> The Nuggets main concern right now would be to make the playoffs as they are tied with Golden State for the last playoff spot in west. But if they do indeed make the playoffs, all eyes are going to be on Carmello Anthony as he too hasn't made it past the first round in 4 tries. Although he has Allen Iverson on his side this time around and the DPOY Marcus Camby, it will be very hard for the nuggets and Anthony to advance as they will be playing the #1 seed which is New Orleans. Will it be another year of dissapointment or is it really time for Anthony to show he is a superstar.

Tittle says who do YOU want to see make the second round first. The poll says who WILL make the second round.

Fix it.

we are talking about superstars here.

Grant Hill used to be a superstar and if it wasn't for his injuries i'm sure he would have made it to the 2nd round or even a championship.

I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't be tuning in to see Pau Gasol win a playoff game.

erm.. Gasol is a superstar already, not a perennial All-Star, but he is the best Power Forward in the world during the offseason.

again we are talking about superstars

Gasol is just a role player who was forced to play like a superstar.

Gasol is NOT and will never be a superstar especially now since he has Kobe Bryant to carry him.

Gasol puts similar numbers to Yao Ming, and he is considered a superstar. Gasol had his better years behind and had a fluke year this year. Gasol is no stranger to the All-Star status.

Why the hell is Kobe on that poll? He's won 3 championships. This isn't like T-Mac who's never seen a 2nd round without buying a ticket.

(Not hating on T-Mac here. I just don't understand the logic.)

I think its because he's never done it as the leader of the team/without Shaq.

I want to see Grant Hill make the second round. Pheonix is also a team I think will be fun to watch as they progress through the playoffs.
