Honestly i had high hopes for carter a long time ago.. But he just has no work ethic. If he would have spent more time working out then partying, he'd be twice the player he is now.

Exactly.
I'm so glad he is gone so now we can pin our hopes to a workhorse like Andrea Bargnani. I have so much more faith in the team now that we have him prancing around the perimeter like a pansy. Andrea has the keys to the Raptors future whereas we had nothing when Vince was a Raptor.
I look back when Vince was the all-time vote getter for the All-star game and winning the dunk competition all the while carrying the franchise on his back to the second round of the playoffs falling just one shot of much more and laugh. Those were such hopeless times with nothing to appreciate.
Seriously, if the Raptors didn't lose to the Nets yesterday I would have forgotten he was still in the league. There is so much pride and potential in Raptorland right now that I don't have time to think about Vince anymore.
I better get back to compiling all the Raptor highlights since Vince left.
Here enjoy.

Do you think they will waive the waiting period and induct Andrea Bargnani into the hall of fame now?

This is now Vince's team. Nowhere to hide, no excuses. I have to admit, I wasn't sure how he'd respond, but Vince has been everything that could have been asked of him.
He's seriously taken ownership of the team these past few weeks; talking and teaching the new and young guys guys on the floor, showing by example with his play. I hope this means he'll also take care of himself during the summer. I don't want another repeat of a slow start to the season.
I can't really know what really went on with Kidd and VC... but IMO bad chemistry between those two is what sunk this season. But it's all good in the long run. Kidd's Net era was done, and pretending it wasn't was only going to drag things out and end up even worse. Everyone was just playing for themselves, as an island. Most clear demonstrated by no defense, direct resulting in ugly losing basketball.
Now there is no question of an unhappy Kidd or passive Vince being the leader of the squad. Vince has taken the torch of leadership from a departed Kidd, and run hard with it. It's unfortunate it had to happen this way, but it is for the best.

Once the season ends Vince needs to get that ankle cleaned up and he needs to dedicate the off season to getting in shape. Coming into camp not in game shape is not being a leader, he needs to be ready to go. An in shape VC at the start of the season should put up solid numbers and with the correct pieces added and subtracted this off season we should be ready to go.

Actually many from the team thought that Carter would explode this year because he had worked on his game very hard in the off-season.He started poorly at first with his sprained finger and then the ankle happened.

The ankle was bothering him, sure, but there was also a clear lack of effort if you ask me.
I think his game is fine, especially what it has evolved into recently, but i think physically he should do more to take care of himself, he's not getting any younger.
