The Mavs plays better without Stack.

Without Stack, the Mavs seems smarter and more competitive. They settle less for jumpers and slash strong to the basket. I wonder if it is really the case.

The Mavs play better without Malik Allen, it doesnt matter whether Stack plays.

Maybe the Mavs play better when Bass plays instead of Allen and when Jones plays instead of Stack...

Well...

Bass >>>>> Allen
Stack > Jones

Darn, that was my next thread I was going to make. You stole my thunder. Good job!
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

The last couple of games before the groin injury, Stack played well. If he comes back to that form, I'd welcome him back today. But if he comes back to his normal self (2/10 shooting...all jumpshots) I'd just assume we keep him on the bench.

But yeah, Bass >>>>>>> Allen >>>>> Juwan > Magloire

I'm with JES, we need hard-driving, lane-flying Stack. Not jumpshooting, poor-shot selector Stack.

He will be back...

I always cringe a little when Stack hits his first jumper 'cause I know it means he's going to jack up tons more. Sort of like hitting a 4 game parlay your first day in Vegas. You think you've got the touch, and so you end up giving it all back and then some.

I used to feel the same way with Mike Finley.

Stack should only be on the floor when Dirk and Josh are not. Stack can still get his shot, so when there's no better scoring option out there, let him jack it up. When the big guns are in, IMO he hurts them by taking away from better scorers.

I liked Stack in the starting lineup over 6th man hands down. Kidd/Stack backcourt works.
