it has to be the clips over the wiz. the clips missing brand for almost the entire season and kaman for 30 games is comparable if not more hurtful than the wiz losing arenas/butler. add livingston, magz, mobley, thomas, and davis and its not really close. it hurts even more when one considers that the clips play in the west where missing those palyers absolutely destroyed any hope of even competing.

If you look at which team has overcome more injuries this season, it's the Wizards. Thomas has been out the whole year, Gilbert's early play was hurtful to the team, and he's now been back two games. Songaila was recovering from injury at the beginning of the year and has only become a serviceable backup since after the all star break. Antonio Daniels has been nagged by injuries all year, the product of major minutes from playing a starting role -- ankle sprains galore. And Jamison just badly sprained his shoulder diving into the stands for a lose ball (that Daniels couldn't get to with his gimpy legs). On top of all that, Butler's been out for 20+ games, and hasn't been at full health for months. We've started a backcourt of Roger Mason and Deshawn Stevenson, with Nick Young as our only guard on the bench. How bad is that?
Yet we're still going to the playoffs, and we're at least still in range of surpassing the Cavs in the standings.
The Clips may have been more injured, but as someone above said, their season was over on day 1. They never stood a fighting chance in the stacked West without Brand, and may not have stood a chance with him. The Wiz are going to be in the playoffs, at this point playing the Cavs -- for whom I feel much sorrow over their injuries.

They brought the stat up on NBAtv. The Wizards have lost more games due to player injury than any other team this year.

Portland would have been a playoff team with Oden. The Cavs, Wiz and Rockets are all still playoff teams. The Clips probably would not have been a playoff team. But Portland would have been. Hard to argue against a team that had their playoff hopes crushed before the pre-season even started. Aldridge and Roy have even missed games.

Anybody voting for the Lakers is tripping, their biggest loss was Bynum, the first half of the season the Rockets lost McGrady, the second half they lost Yao, if they aren't in the top 3 then the Lakers aren't in the top 5.
You got it right! Lebron is just making excuses.

We are happy Haywood gets more minutes. We weren't happy that one of the better backup centers went down for the year.
Though Etan takes away minutes from a better player, that doesn't mean Thomas, himself, isn't a good player.
But just to show how pathetically injured the Wizards are, Arenas and Butler both returned on the same day to the roster against the Bucks.
In the last 10 seconds of that game, both Jamison and Stevenson get injured (ON THE SAME PLAY). Stevenson, luckily was able to make it back the next game, but Jamison has missed the last 2, and possibly our next game against Boston.
So we have Arenas out for basically the entire season.
Thomas out for the whole season.
Butler out for 20+ games.
Daniels out for a few weeks.
Jamison out for a week.
And this doesn't take into account players who are playing injured, just out of necessity. Daniels is currently playing with a nearly broken finger (IIRC). Stevenson is playing with a strained leg. Butler is playing with a sprained wrist on his left hand (IIRC), and of course Arenas isn't even 70%, seeing as how he still can't play back-to-backs.
Our normal starting 5 (Arenas, Stevenson, Butler, Jamison, Haywood) has played a total of 9 games together all year.
