Who do you want Jazz or Lakers

Although we may get home court against the Jazz, I want no part of that. I have not, and will not sip the Laker cool-aid until they beat us. So if it's a choice b/t 5 seed and play Utah or 6 seed and play LA, I'll take LA.

I think we'll get homecourt vs the Jazz look at their schedule

And yea I want Utah/Hornets route despite how good both teams are

IF we played LA 1st as the 6th seed we'd have to play @ SA in the 2nd round

I somewhat disagree, from a pride & entertainment standpoint, I really want to play the lakers and san antonio. I think we can handle both of these teams and it would feel AMAZING to knock both out of the playoffs. Talk about vindication for this year reg. season games vs. LA and the slew of disappointments vs. San Antonio in the playoffs.

If this is the year, let's do it right and crush some of the deamons that have been haunting us this year.

im gunna go ahead and say the Jazz because either series could go to 7 games, i'd be much more confident in having home court advantage against Utah than I would not having homecourt against L.A. Any match-up in the playoffs will be difficult in the West so homecourt will be a huge advantage to whoever team possesses it.

Having home court vs the Jazz is better than not having home court and facing the Lakers or Spurs in the 1st round.

It's important to not let your pride/ego get in the way because you want to knock off those teams' because of there fans, or because you just hate them, and just realize what is best for YOUR team.

I would like to take the easiest route to the finals, because Boston or Detriot are going to be way fresher than anyone who comes out of the West.

Mehmet Okur is the only thing that would really scare me though. Making Shaq or Stat have to guard him at the arc would open lanes for Williams to do damage inside. Still i'd take the Jazz over the Lakers. IMO Kobe+Gasol led team is more dangerous than a Williams+Boozer led team.

I'd put Diaw on Okur, he matches up a little better than Stat and a hell of a lot better than Shaq.

Shaq + Stat is just too much to handle...I hope they're rested though.

i care less about the matchups this year than i ever have. bring on whoever it will be, if we cant beat each and every team we dont deserve it.

Meh. I care about who S.A plays.

Because whatever happens, we'll be playing S.A. in the conf. finals. I'd bet my nuts on it.

S.A. knows how to dismantle the Jazz, the lakers are still a question mark to everyone.

I agree completely. Though all else being equal, I'd rather have a tired San An or LA than a fresh San An or LA.

If we face LA with Bynum, I think we win hands down. It's the Bynum-less Lakers that worry me. We just matchup poorly with them.

I definitely agree Sun-Scorched. Lakers will be easiest to knock out in the 1st round, especially if they're trying to work Bynum back in.

However I'd still prefer Jazz and home-court. I'm actually fed up with the regular season and the playoff jockeying. Bring on the playoffs already.

Apparently Nash doesn't care about seeding, so why was I caring? I can now officially "tank" the rest of the regular season as a fan...

Spurs Sched (53-24): PHX, SEA, @LAL, @SAC, @UTH
Lakers Sched (53-25): @LAC, NO, SA, SAC
Jazz Sched (52-26): @DAL, DEN, HOU, @SA
Rockets Sched (52-25): SEA, PHO, @DEN, @UTH, LAC
Suns Sched (52-26): @SA, @HOU, GS, POR

So we could end up #2, #3, #5, or #6.

The key game is tomorrow against SA.
If we win, the 3rd seed is in reach by winning out (if Spurs lose @LAL or @UTH), and the 2nd seed is even a possibility if Lakers fall to NO and SA at home, and SA loses @UTH.
If we lose, we almost have to win out to have any shot at the 5th seed, and we're more likely headed for the 6th seed. Either way, we will probably start the playoffs on the road because Jazz hold the tiebreaker against us.

If Spurs and Lakers are tied headed into their game, it will be interesting to see if either one tanks to try and get the Houston matchup. Kind of like 2 years ago when Clippers and Grizzlies were tanking trying to get a matchup with the Nuggets instead of the Mavs. Worked out well for the Clips.

My prediction is NO, LA, PHX, UT, SA, HOU, DAL, DEN

I don't mind this too much. LA definitely draws the tougher first round. We should be able beat the Rockets in 5 games. I could see the LA-Mavs series going 7. Dirk is peaking at the right time.

Should leave us a little more fresh for the second round.
