I suggested this before: Rashual Butler from the Hornets. A three point shooter and one year less on the contract than Willie. I think the Hornets need scoring off the bench and don't need more 3 pt shooting with Peja now healthy and MoPete.
Two years from being two years away.

Would that give me more or less indigestion than watching Green shoot, shoot and shoot?

I really don't have a problem with Willie Green being on this team.... I do have a problem with him being a starter though. He only has 3 years/$11MIL left on his contract so it's not as though it's his deal that will hold us back from being able to obtain a star player.

It'll be interesting to see what happens this summer because I believe I believe Stefanski will trade either Carney or Green since we should see Iguodala move to the 2 and Young to the 3. With Lou getting a decent amount of minutes at both the 1 and the 2, I don't think there will be enough minutes for both Green and Carney.

Agreed, but I don't see how Green is moved unless he is a throw in as part of a bigger deal.

I realize Green lacks passing skills, but he can dribble (which Carney and Young can't do well.) If we lose Ollie, does that mean we need to keep Green to have enoughball handlers. We are a bit thin if we go into the season with only 3 guys who can dribble under trap type pressure (Lou and the Andres.)

If/when Ollie is off of this team, I think we'll see Ed pick up another PG either in the draft (buy a 2nd rounder) or add a veteran at the league minimum. Hell, that could even be Kevin Ollie.

As for moving Green... I think Green will be harder to move which is why I think Carney could be done as a Sixer after this season. I know Ed has said that he likes Carney is this system, but if he can't move Green.... he may be left with no choice but to ditch Carney.

The great thing is that Ed has a lot of options on how he can improve this roster and isn't stuck having to move one guy or having to obtain one specific type of guy. I just hope he does it by the 2nd week of July so that I can shut my basketball brain down for a couple of months rather than logging onto here in August to discuss hypotheticals.

The summer leagues will be over by August. Hell, they're normally done by the 3rd week of July so I'm fine with that.

When does the FA signing period begin this year? I believe it's only 1 week after the July 1st negotiating date instead of 2 weeks like it's always been.

Hopefully Ed works the phones on draft night to line up some potential trades in case he strikes out with the free agents and then BAM... he makes our "big splash" by July 8th.

Hopefully we don't have to be up in the air heading into next season, but it might be the right move to enter the seaon not making a big splash.

I just don't want the Iguodala negotiations to become drawn out.
