Would you have Rasho Nesterovic on your team?

Post#1 » by Texas Longhorns » Tue Apr 8, 2008 8:07 pm

Well, everyone is going around talking about Rasho, I thought up a question.. Would you have him on your team, state your team, and tell why you would have him as a starter or a back up C.

I'll start..

My team is the Rockets, and he would fit perfectly for us as a backup since Mutombo is getting old and can't play many minutes. He also has the outside shot that can spread the floor and get the paint open so our guards can drive in. Another reason is because of his defense, he comes from SA previously before Toronto, and he shows that he can block as well as intimidate shots.

Bulls, yeah, he's better then Noah right now but I'd rather Noah start, as he is a lot younger and has a higher ceiling.

I'd have him for a backup center on the lakers sure. He's better than an injured Mihm, Dj Mbenga. Turiaf should be backing up the PF not the center position IMO.

Ironically, rasho was probably the best center Garnett ever had in Minnesota. Eddie Griffin (RIP) was awesome at times but Rasho was better.

he earns 8.4mio in 08/09 which is his last year

btw.: he is a good defender against big bodys...but he isnt a real shotblocking force (at least for his hight)

2btw: rasho was kind of a running gag ("blame rasho") as he was with the spurs...but I really think he was a good contributor next to timmy

Couldn't be much worse than Jarron Collins. I'd take him on Utah, but at $8M I wouldn't trade a whole lot for him either.

He was a way underrated player on the Spurs. Got a lot of hate, but he's a solid C...

he'd be a great backup for the Magic next season...will he opt out? can he afford to? I personally think a team will give him some cash, so I wouldn't be too surprised, especially if the Raps dont make a slash in the playoffs...

There's really no chance that he will opt out...someone would have to be willing to pay the MLE over three seasons or more to make it worth it, and despite his good play, I can't see Rasho commanding more than 3/$15m.

I would love to have him on my team, that means we would have two Rashos! Rasho+Rasho>>>>>>Rasho+Bargnani.

Currently Jared Jeffries or Zach Randolph start at Center. At the beginning of they year Eddy Curry started at Center. So yes, I would take Rasho, and he would start since he actually knows what defense is. TBH though I would rather have a Jerome James that gave a sh_t about playing basketball since he could be a legit big man presence if he actually cared.

Yeah I'de want him on the Raptors. You don't just let one of the best centers in the league get away.
