They could have faked that better. Its too obvious.

The first thought that came to my mind when I read the title of this thread was "RickRoll'd"

It would have been more believable if someone was actually driving the car.

The notion that you could even begin to think that was real just reflects poorly on you.

Pause it. Nobody is in the car.

I'm pretty sure the Lakers would be pissed if this was real. The only way I'd believe it is if he got hit.

Yes you've been quite boring lately. Guess that kind of gave it away that I don't have you on ignore.

I think someone is driving the car but the car is actually to the right of him as he's jumping so at Kobe's highest point it looks like he's actually jumping over the car.

Its hard to tell without being able to slow it down but I would say they either played a trick and he jumped next to it by messing with our depth perception or he simply jumped there and had the car drive through and than cropped it in with some video software.

Actually just proven as legit, it is actually a remote control car so he doesn't get injured. Story is on slashdot, video of the making is here

Damn cynics.

Look at his shadow just as he's starting to jump - you can see a little "glitch" as he jumps...

LOL as if any NBA player, let alone Kobe freakin Bryant, would be allowed to jump a moving car

actually maybe Willie Green would give it a shot

It reminds me of the Family Guy where Peter shows a tape of himself getting ran over by a car.

Then they freeze frame the shot and it's him driving the car and a scarecrow doll getting hit by the car.

Not to mention, Kobe would have to be a grade A Moron to actually attempt this. I think I have to give his common sense skills more credit than that.

I just didn't have the commitment to come up with anything more plausible, it was a stretch for me to even search for the video on youtube :D
