Did anyone else actually see Wright make this announcement? I've just seen Avalanche at Basketball Forums saying it.

Klomp, did you hear it from the in-game announcement? Did anyone??

I like this logo and I'm very in favor of simplicity, but this would never pass a trademark search. The logo would have to be original and distinct from existing trademarks (in terms of details and colors), so I wouldn't count on something like that.
Yep, that's the unfortunate thing as I think it looks pretty slick.

I was at the game yesterday, and they confirmed that we were getting a new logo and jerseys. They said we'd get a sample "Very soon", with the jerseys unvieled at the draft party.

I found this fan mock-up on www.twolvesblog.com

Needs some work, but not a bad concept.

Edit: I found more concepts.

No offense to whoever made that, but it looks like something a high school basketball team would sport as their logo.

edit - DR23, I can't see the picture you posted

I hope it's something along those lines. I like the idea of having it be a wolf howling at a basketball moon (even though it might be a tad hokey), and keeping with the green/blue/grey color scheme. I'd like it more if the basketball encircled the entire logo like in your original mock up, though.

I also like the idea of having a green jersey and a grey jersey, too.

Have been waiting for something like this to happen for some time now. The Wolves' blue jerseys are just absolutely disgusting.

Weren't the blues KGs faves? Maybe thats why we waited so long. By the time we traded him, it was too late for a switch, so they're making it this year.

the green, grey, blue one now that i have looked at it a few times, is actually the best one in the NBA if it came out like that.. that is actually amazingly simple and yet pretty nice at the same time.. I could see some really nice jersey concepts off those ones..

in terms of jersey ways, lets have a discussion, do you guys think there should be stripes like memphis tigers, lines like the rockets, side colors like the raptors or should it just be sort of blank as now?

lemme know what you think

You know, I really liked the old jerseys you had from the early franchise days.

Glad to see you guys getting new ones. The tree ones were just a sign of the times when they originally came out.

I wouldn't mind the KISS look either, but I'm not sure the NBA allows facepaint, and in any event there are probably trademark issues there.
