Plus Miller wont be averaging like 16-17 points a game. It all depends on the PF we get next year. If its Brand or Josh Smith Dala will probally average like 17-21 points. If its someone like Okafor or Biedrins then he will average more like 19-23. Thad should get about 13, while Sammy gets 10-12, Miller about 12 or 13 and then Dala and the new PF are wild cards.

I don't think the addition of another player necessarily equates to a drop in Iguodala's PPG. Adding a gunner like Iverson or Anthony would probably lead to fewer attempts, but that's not happening. If they add a better scoring PF, I don't think much changes, except his APG may actually go up...PPG I would guess lands somewhere between 19-22. I've always thought he would ultimately be about a 22 ppg player...we shall see.

Andre's now shooting 45.8% on the season and averaging 20.1 ppg, and brought his turnovers down to 2.6 per game. I don't think anyone really could have realistically expected a better season. Scoring more, doing so more efficiently, and significantly fewer turnovers. If you remember last year after the trade, Andre averaged 20/5/5, but did so on about 42% shooting with nearly 4 topg. Doing so on 46% shooting with 2.6 turnovers per game is very significant, IMO. I wasn't expecting him to be a 24 ppg scorer.

in 25 games since the all-star break:
21.5 ppg, 5 rpg, 4.9 apg, 2.0 topg, 48.2% fg%, 35.5% 3pt%

That's very nice production over nearly a third of the season.

"Fell good" article in the paper today. Donnellon doesn't write often on the Sixers. Mo is the most genuinely humble coach. Enjoyable read:

He truly is. The indicates that he is very comfortable with who he is and is open to suggestions from others. That is a very nice quality to have as a coach of this young team. It lets them play with a calmness without worry about getting pulled if they make a mistake.

I agree with you that Mo has done a better job lately of letting the young guys play through their mistakes - we don't want them looking over their shoulder thinking that they are coming out of the game if they miss a shot. However, IMO, his handling of Carney last night (where he saw ZERO time in the second half because, IMO, he took a couple of ridiculous shots and added very little else to the cause in terms of rebounding, defense, and the like) is also important. I was happy that Willie got Carney's 2nd half minutes...he deserved them (and hopefully Rodney learned something as well).

I hope that - between last night and today - Mo let Carney know that his minutes in the rotation need to be earned by smart shot selection and doing the little things...not jacking up 3's over the corner of the backboard while falling out of bounds.
