Might doesn't excite me. Might is a very nebulous term. Andrew Bynum might be abducted by aliens by Sunday.

I am scared (I know I am always scared) but this time I think it's just. Andrew Bynum seems to be a slow healer. It was sopposed to be 6-8 weeks and it's been what 12? They said he could be back in 2 weeks then 2 weeks goes by and he isn't close. Now they are saying Sunday maybe but we all deep down inside there is no shot. Now we are talking about missing the first round of the playoffs. This is really really bad. I don't agree that they could easily get out of round 1 without Bynum. I think it's possible but it will take a heroic effort by Kobe some luck and a playoff hero needs to be born like Farmar or Sasha espially with Fisher not at 100%. I am hoping the injury was just a little more serious then first thought and that is why it's taking an extra month or so and he will be fine as soon as he returns which is very possible and he is not a slow healer. At 20 years old your sopposed to be at your healing prime so now is when he should be able to come back early from injuries. The trainer did say he is predisposed to knee injuries but what Center isn't besides maybe DHoward.
He is our second best player and I still think he is very underrated and hopefully he will be back by Sunday. It will say alot if he does come back Sunday because we will know he isn't a slow healer and it will show he has alot of heart and we will know where he is at. I also think he is so good that even with a 3 month layoff he will play like a complete stud and we need that because we have been losing some very winnable games andd we really need those last 3 games which happen to be against the Spurs and Hornets.

I ask you guys Laker fans with knowledge of the situation who are not as paranoid as myself do you think even with 20 days off he will be back at 100% or just needs to get in shape to be 100%?

I don't really care besides the mvp thing if we get first or third seed I just don't want second seed and have to play the Mavs and at first seed we would have to play Denver or Warriors. I just want the third seed real bad because that mean the Rockets and that is the team to play.

I'm scared that when Bynum comes back you won't have anything to be scared about.

What happens then?

That was my point I was trying to make.If he cant get healthy in 3 months 14-20 extra days isnt gonna mean jack for his knee.

Like I said If Bynum isnt ready to go by Sunday then he might as well hang it up. He would be one rusty center playing NBA calibur playoff basketball

According to CL, from a mod, and from a "Legit source".. Bynum is out another 6 weeks. Hopefully not.

I don't see how that can happen, you think something that tragic would be seen by our trainers.

Club Lakers.

And now Loose Cannons is saying that he was NOT cleared to practice, and no timetable for his return. I don't know guys, I'm not listening myself.. maybe others in LA could listen?

No mention of 6 more weeks. That was just emplay's source. May be true may not be.

I don't understand how you can be projected 6-8 weeks not reinjury it by playing on it and it really take 20 weeks at least.
Anybody else starting to think this could be a career thing?
I am just hoping to see him play in summer league so I know he is 100% for the season or at least hear from his mouth when it is 100%
he says it is and to see him playing or in the offseason read an article how he is 100%.

hopefully I don't have to hear this paranoid whining for the rest of his career that's for sure. The only article that talks about 6 weeks is the one by a notorious b.s. artist.

Corvus Crow you really might think it's b.s.? If it is true it would be talked about in th pregame and it hasn't been posting on this site yet so maybe its hopeful.

Nah this has to be false reporting but Emplay does stick around Laker practices so can't really ignore this either. Just the fact that we have to come all this way just to get screwed over by injuries again makes me sick.

This is why we kept Mbenga...and we hope mihm gets healthy quick...Phil needs to play them more now to get a feel for the playoffs
