Are the Raptors overrated?

Post#1 » by Pats19andO » Fri Apr 11, 2008 12:55 am

I mean, they're only 39-39. Philly has a better record than them. They are almost out of the playoff picture, and yet they seem to be way overrated on these boards.

they are overrated, like the cavaliers, because they play in the east, in the west they would be worst than kings or blazers.

No one really talks about the Raptors much. They're overrated in that most people don't realize how bad they've been playing lately, but not many people really think they are that good to begin with.

overrated? idk...i dont throw that term around very much...basically every team is overrated, around here at least...

basically when Bosh went down the team hit a big time wall and hasn't really snapped back...that torrid 3 point shooting that was getting so much attention earlier in the season seemed to disappear a little bit and that was a big factor in their earlier wins...subsequently they fell out of the darling spot light, like most teams do...

thing about good teams in slumps is that they usually snap out...they might do that in the playoffs...

I must say I haven't heard much about them in the media this year. How can they be overrated if I haven't heard anybody espousing their likelihood to advance in the first round? I have them losing to any one of their potential first round opponents. Their best chance is playing Cleveland and an ailing LeBron.

Overrated? Don't you have to be talked about to be overrated? But seriously, if Bosh and TJ didn't miss 15+ and 30+ games a piece, they would've won 50 games imo.

Not talked about enough on the general board to be overrated. Even among Philly, Wash, and them they get talked about the least.

The Raptors are only overrated on the Player Comparison board. On the general board just about everyone agrees that the Raptors are a middle of the pack team that is too soft.

i cant consider them "overrated" when i rate them as first round fodder. as long as they still play in the east, thats about as low as i can rate them, no?

Its really because of Bosh's injury that made us fall to 39-39. I agree we are a overrated team but still can compete. Injuries have payed a toll too.

Yes their excuses. But as a Raptor fan I know we are a middle of the league team and a very soft one too.

Idk how the Raptors are overrated. Don't you have to get some hype first before you can qualify as being overrated?

They are dead last in attendance on the road and get no national TV coverage. What more is there to say? How can we be overrated if no one even hypes us up? I bet the casual fan can only name 2 players on that roster lol.

We are mad over-rated, so over-rated that if you attempted to examine the actual over-ratedness of this team, it would blow your mind, like woah....like wooooooooah.
