How bad is it, in your opinion? It's at worst average in the league....so if a guy like Raja Bell can make an all-defensive team playing for a team who plays **** defense, Camby can do the same playing for an average defensive team. There are many reasons why you could argue Camby doesn't deserve it, but that is definitely not one of them IMO. Sadly, the defensive stats Camby puts up is always going to be enough to guarantee himself a spot on one of the teams. Over ten defensive rebounds, nearly four blocks, and over a steal per game is quite the line, even when he really isn't that good of a defender.

Isn't it only two teams for all defense?

The methodology used for his metric was done kinda poorly. Read his explanation of it.
But who cares? Defense is like, less than half of the NBA game! It's worth so much less than offense.

i see your point and agree that the stats he puts up will always pretty much give him a spot, but i think on the real second team, dwight deserves it more than camby. and i personally dont think bell deserves to be on it either.

I have absolutely no problems with anyone calling Rajon Rondo the best defensive point guard in the league, because that's exactly what he is.
And I'm no fan of his either.

Varejao made honorable mention for power forwards which is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
He has been hideous on defense all year. His only good attribute on defense is his ability to draw charges, but he doesnt even do that anymore. He was decent earlier in the year, but since coming back from his injury he's been garbage on both ends of the floor.
LeBron needs to be in at least the honorable mention for small forwards. LeBron is far and away the best defender on the Cavs, so if Varejao can make honorable mention, LeBron deserves at least that much (I realize they play different positions).
I thought that all of his voting was terrible. Why was Tony Parker an honorable mention at PG? Has he gotten any better on D? Because if he hasnt, it's pathetic to include him.
