It's kind of crazy that I tune into KLAC. The Jim Rome Show internet link on Xtra Sports out here in Phoenix was down one day so I used the KLAC one. After the show I decided to sit and listen to the Loose Cannons and I came away laughing my arse off. Those guys crack me up, although what's with the yelling all the time? ........Petros on PMS does it too........ Whoever that guy is who does the voiceovers during KLAC promo commercials is hilarious - he mocks nearly every radio personality at that station, especially Hartman!
I wish we had amusing shows over here in Phoenix. Our guys are kind of bland.

Already reeling from the news that center Andrew Bynum will remain out indefinitely while his knee continues to heal, the Los Angeles Lakers learned on Friday that Trevor Ariza's foot is still not completely sound. Ariza will likely be out for at least the first round of the playoffs as he waits for the fractured metatarsal in his right foot to heal.
The Lakers have managed to play at a high level despite the injuries, winning 54 games to date and tallying a 27-14 road record which is among the best in the Western Conference.
Certainly the team's resolve will be tested in the postseason, especially defensively without the services of both Bynum and Ariza.
Last night at STAPLES Center, Ariza was anxious to begin practicing with the team. While he was convinced he was healed, unfortunately the scan of his foot said otherwise

Ariza update:
Lakers forward Trevor Ariza is doubtful for the start of the playoffs after a CT scan this morning showed that a broken bone in his right foot still had not fully healed.
Ariza, however, was approved to increase his running on an anti-gravity treadmill from 70% to 80% of his body weight this week. He will increase it to 90% next week

I hope Bynum gets back soon. Get well Drew! But in all truth I think even if Bynum is healthy to play I really do think its smart to play it quiet and let him work it without any pressure. He is getting pressure from all sides of the media so my feeling is that they are just saying all this to cloud the truth. Let everyone prepare for the Lakers with what they have, and not what they will have. It works on the side for the Lakers too, let them feel really confident in what they have now and not about when he gets back. We all know that Bynum is a monster but we have no idea how he will be with Gasol. But regardless If everyone feels that we are without that monster how would it be when opposing teams see both Bynum coming off the bench to torment them. Then worry about the next game to see him start alongside Gasol. Give him some time guys I would rather have Bynum come back at full strength then come back and hurt his knees more. Man the knees are the achilles(sp?) heel for every player. it slows down their explosion and movement.

Blaming the Lakers medical staff for any of this is to shoot the pianist. The kid had his knee cap dislocated to the outside of his leg for Pete's sake. It'll take the time it takes.
I'd rather see Bynum play it safe for a few more weeks, and have him fully healed from this injury for the long term (the next 15 years or so). Letting short term greed decide when he should come back is, well, short-sighted.
He'll be back soon enough, and we will still be in the playoffs. After a few games, we'll forget that he was ever injured.
Patience.

With that being said, it was projected he would miss 8 weeks. Its been 12. Ariza's had another set back, he's still hurt. Last season everyone got hurt. How about Karl Malone being mis diagnosed? Somethings gotta add up.
