Not including injuries by the way.

I realized last night that one thing that concerns me is that James Posey is going to be a crutch for Doc during the playoffs. IMO if you throw out the opening stretch of the season Posey hasn't played very well only sprinkling in good games. Additionally Doc tends to go to him even when we playing teams that kill us on the boards as was happening last night.

What are your biggest fears?

...I agree completely...especially with Posey at the 4...i'd like to see Powe used as the mobile PF for perimeter bigs and sacrafice a couple of drives for the added interior presence, 2nd chance baskets, and rebounding....

...if the team wants a better option than that, i'd be looking at Devon Jefferson or Pendergraf in the draft, someone with more PF skills but great mobilty...

Posey stagnates the offense and makes it very one dimensional when he's at the 4...

More Powe/Davis/Brown before Posey at the 4...if Doc reverts to thinking Posey's perimeter D is worth more than the rebounds and 2nd chance ops...I think the team gives up way more in the paint than it makes up for on the perimeter and that scares me...

I'm tired of hearing this. What happened to Dallas has zero percent bearing on what this team is doing/going to to. This team plays defense, that is a major difference. Also, WE, don't do anything. The team that steps on the floor play the game, and I guarantee you, they will not take anything for granted.

Not so sure about this either. The Celtics are the most storied franchise in NBA history and to have them win a championship, with Garnett nonetheless, would be a great boost for the NBA.

does anyone know the playoff schedule? Are there 9 days between each game so every game can be shown on tnt of abc primetime? That is the worst part of the playoffs the waiting once you get going. Play a game sit around for 3-5 days. It's silly.

That's good logic, but then you have to look at how the league and Stern and the league officers have treated the C's over the years versus how other teams have been treated and wonder, if Stern loves the C's as much as he always claims, why do they always get screwed. For instance, to trot out an old (but still applicable) chestnut, we were the only team to get NO CAP RELIEF when TWO of our players DIED, yet other teams did (Drazen Petrovic, Malik Sealy), hell even Miami got relief when Alonzo had his kidney disease! There are other examples, too, but this one still might be the most egregious

This is just one instance in which the league has screwed to C's over the years...thus I am never completely comfortable in thinking there won't be some awfully officiated games that will cost us something.

And no, I'm not being a conspiracy theorist (for instance, I don't think losing out on the draft lotteries was rigged) you have to look at facts and wonder...

I know what you are saying and agree. I personally dislike the way Stern has handled many situations, but having the Celtics in the finals will be a bigger draw for ratings than Cleveland or Detroit, especially if the Lakers come out of the west, which I have doubt about. The Celtics are also more popular globally. Stern is buildin g popularity and is intersted in making money, the Celtics will draw the most global ratings.

My big fear is the back court defense against big point guards like Billups and Deron Williams.

Only Tony Allen has the strength to meet them head on...and Tony....well......

Billups or Williams could easily go off and and win a couple of games by themseves.

You're right, for sure, that having the C's back on top is great for the NBA.
And I wouldn't be so sure the Lakers can't make it out of the West...remember the league handing them that series against Sacramento in 2002 with that ridiculous 26+ free throws in ONE QUARTER to get them back into the game...
