am i drunk?

either way, no one is trading Rose if they have the chance to get him.

I think you are (or were) drunk, try again it does work out.

Some Miami fans have talked about trading Haslem+Blount+their pick for Elton Brand, even with their pick in the top 2.

As with most trade proposals at this time, there's a lot of if in this deal.

I figure that if the Clippers feel that Brand and Kaman are better apart than together, if the Clippers want to get competitive again quickly, if the Clippers own pick is somewhere that they'd rather take another forward or sg than a pg, if Miami's management would do like some of their fans want and go for the quick fix with Brand over Rose, and if GS decides the current team is at or near its limit and wants to see if a younger group can go higher than this could happen.

Dang... I want trade Baron traded if Dubbs get that Miami package.

Haslem is the perfect shooting PF and rebounder next to AB. Got Blount to play Nellie ball for next year. And then have a chance to get Baron clone (Rose)?

I take it. Not like next year is going to get any easier for the West now that Portland is going to get a lot stronger team with Oden and Fernandez.

Got to do a Billy Beane and know when to fold and start again.

Now image Dubbs trade both Baron and Al (from the other thread).

We get a great front line. And 3 first rounds of Rose, Love, Arthur.

What is the problem with Baron? Isn't he your best player?

He was before the all-star reserves were announced..Baron had a great 15 month run up until that point...There's two Baron's..BoomDizzle and BoomFizzle...BoomDizzle was the player who 1st showed up after we traded for him, and then reappeared the day Nellie was hired...BoomFizzle played a full year under Monty, took a vacation, and then came back after the reserves were announce...Fizzle also played for Tim Floyd and Byron Scott...Dizzle played for Silas and earned a max deal.

Allen isn't an 82 game player. With his ankles, he's a 70 game player tops. Probably less if he's trying to carry a team rather than playing as a third option. He's also more likely than Baron to break down in the future.

Trading Baron for Allen doesn't help the teams luxury tax or depth issues (unless Rondo and Powe are thrown in or something like that). Baron is better, younger and healthier than Allen

Are we trading for Allen's past or his future? Getting that backwards is always bad news.

Baron Davis currently has a lot better market value than Allen as Baron probably has 5-6 good years left and Allen may not have half that. For the Warriors,a history of trading our best talent for whatever we can get is a lot of why we rank with the league's most prolific losers.
WTF....why not just bring Mookie Blaylock out of retirement?

It's one thing to trade Baron Davis as a strategic move. If we are getting a damn great payoff...featuring a player who's not nearly finished-or a mere kid who MIGHT be an above average starter..might not, let's discuss.

This nonsense of scapegoating half the roster at any given moment while imagining that other teams are giving us guys who are pristine and flawless is just symptomatic of frustration and desperation and rooting for a team that does stuff that does not always seem logical.

A BIG problem here has been the team starting off down the road-then making a bunch of detours until lost. We need to build off gains made -not bleed talent as if we can replace anyone with ease.

In BOS we have the same relationship with Paul Pierce. People love and hate him at seperate time. They will all be the same people though.

With Fatoine Walker, you just had two groups constantly split down the middle. People who loved his game and people who hated it, that would be me. I'm sorry but if you are 6'9" and can't shoot go fricking rebound. Don't stand out at the 3 point chucking shots.

Trading Baron for Allen is a definite no for many of the reasons stated. We need to improve our D (for those who haven't figured it out). As good as he can shoot, why trade for another chucker? Just what the Nellie (doctor) ordered.

The trade that would probably make the most sense is a Baron for Brand deal if the Clips would do it.

After talking with Heat fans on the trade forum, I can tell you right now that they never would make that deal (if you don't believe, just try posting this trade and see). They say Miami may be willing to let Marion walk (although I don't quite believe it) in order to save cap space (which acquiring Baron wouldn't allow). They definitely would not give up their pick under any circumstances imo. I think Brand may be our best bet if we want to move Baron. Hey, if the Lakers somehow get trounced in the playoffs, there may be a possibility there as well but we won't know until them.
