Third, only four teams beat the Jazz this year at the ESA. Rockets were one of them.

With a healthy Yao and at the beginning of the season. And it took Tmac to go absolutely nuts.

I can't believe everyone keeps talking beyond the first round. Nothing is freaking guaranteed, especially with this YOUNG team. Depending on which team decides to show up to the playoffs, we could easily be out in the first round.

While I do agree to an extent we just look at a team like the rockets and from top to bottom we are just simply better. So it's hard not to look on to round 2 where a potential matchup of the hornets who we also from top to bottom are better.

Agreed, but there are alot of teams that were more than simply better that we have blown games to. I know Playoffs are a whole different game, but this teams is still young and that worries me.

True but also people are looking at the teams we have beat when we set our mind to it and if that team shows up. It might not matter who we play. But utah could get too confident and blow it in the 1st round but even if a team surprises them like the rockets I think the jazz can make the correction and come out strong for the rest of the series .

I don't think we have a chance against you guys without Yao. My prediction is 4-2 . We're too old and unathletic at this point with deke, Rafer, bobby, and a brokeback tmac. Our only hope is Scola and Landry .

Agreed, DWill and Okur will manhandle Rafer and Deke, respectively, but Scola is a Ginobilli-esque guy who just hustles non-stop and really gets under opponent's skins. Booz won't be able to handle him on the defensive end.

Lucky for us Booz can guard Mutumbo on the offensive end. Boozer isn't bad when he times his strips just right but wow has he been a stinker these past 2 games. I hope he comes out and has a big game against the nuggets.

+1, its all about flow with boozer, its hard for him to turn it on or off either way. it all depends on how he starts out. he needs to step it up against the nuggets. i really want to see them miss the playoffs.

The only drawback of playing the Rockets in the first round, is D-Will wont be available for the rest of the playoffs....

Why you ask?? Because he will be locked up for MURDERING the Rafer and the rest of the Rockets!! :)

From top to bottom the Jazz are also better than Chicago, New Jersey and Minnesota, 3 of the 4 teams they lost to in March. Teams they undoubtedly looked past. Looking past the first round is how you end up watching the second round from your couch. I certainly hope the team doesn't share your mentality.

You can't compare regular season losses to terrible teams to playing good teams in the playoffs. The Jazz, when they focus might be the best team in the league. Over and 82 game season the Jazz just lose focus against some bad teams and it bites them in the ass.

You can be sure that the Jazz won't take one playoff game lightly this post season, they didn't last year, why would they this year?

The Jazz will be a better playoff team this year then they were last year. I don't care who we play, the Jazz will be ready.

I expect Deron Williams to play pissed off like his girlfriend cheated on him (I know he is married with a kid, so don't).

You could see how pissed off he was after the Dirk 3pter.

Really? Is that a rule, a proverb, a guideline or a law somewhere? Because I'm pretty sure I can and just did. Should I expect now to be arrested by the suede-denim secret police?

I expect the Jazz to come focused, but to ignore the lack of focus this team has had on the road this season is quite frankly (Please Use More Appropriate Word). Road play is a problem and it's the reason the Jazz didn't win the West. A team's flaws don't magically disappear in the playoffs.

I hope you guys don't think it's from lack of respect or something because it's definetly not , we just feel that if we have homecourt against you guys we have a shot , against the Spurs or Lakers we don't.

Shabi man, you have better chance against Suns...

I think you have the best chance against spurs cause their offense is poor and your defense is great. Your best offensive player is better than most of the spurs.

Either way, I prefer to see the Suns.

The Suns bigs will just be too much for us in a 7 game series imo , if we had Yao I would prefer the Suns no doubt.
The Spurs just play great team defense on T-Mac and Parker andGinobili get to the rim at will.
The Lakers , every close game they will win because Kobe will shoot 40 free throws.
We prefer you guys mainly because we have a chance to have home court.
