Clarification - Bynum

In a previous post regarding Bynum writen by emplay, Erik never mentions a time table. All he says is that it is possible he could miss another six weeks.

After researching this information it doesn't sound that he will miss that much and will return for the playoffs. In another article on Fox Sports states that the Lakers do not see this as a set back in any way. But do expect Bynum to miss the last two games of the season. Bynum is with the team and is conditioning with the team.

Please do not jump to speculation. Lets be supportive and pray he is back for the first game of the playoffs.

Makes sence although I there was a new diagnois or he saw something new I am surprised it's not reported.
The Zar said all the Lakers need is him to play 5 minutes a half but I think that is way off.

Gumby is a great and reliable source... He told people at CL about the Ariza trade before it happened and he had been spot on about Bynum this whole time!

I was praying for the Rockets in round 1 but now it is really imperitive because if they draw the Rockets they can win the first round without Bynum and then have Bynum come back for round 2.

Well, I was just being paranoid enough to go onto LG and read what emplay's been writing and according to him, this is what's been going on:

1. Bynum wanted to return to action last week.

2. Lakers wanted him to wait one more week so that he could play this sunday.

3. He travels on the plane to Sacto, dooes some drills and the swelling gets aggravated after each work out.

4. There has been persistent swelling for like 12 weeks and that hasn't disappeared altogether.

5. Lakers tell Bynum he's not ready for Sunday.

6. Bynum and his people, go to consult this NY doctor on their own and learn that the knee isn't healed yet for any kind of workouts. They try to play safe and not jeopardize his knee after learning that.

7. Emplay claims that he has spoken to Phil privately and the consensus is that the 6 weeks time table is just another tentative date and it looks like curtains down on Bynum's season.

Obviously the posters on LG hold him in great regard and all these reports and no statement from the Lakers PR is worrying me more than anything else. I'm just trying to stay optimistic and hope for the best.

Damm Damm Damm. I happen to think he is not wrong. I hope he is wrong or Bynum pulls some hero stuff. I am a little concerned that he still has swelling after 4 months.
I really hope I am not reading about the injury in Nov.

I tend to agree maybe they should bring on some more specialists. Not because of the past because those guys had questionable hearts and work habbits but because of this whole thing.
