Someone finally got to Woodson

Post#1 » by Jjforprez » Fri Apr 11, 2008 2:14 am

I wonder who taught him that you don't pull a guy for the rest of the half just cause he has 2 fouls...

You know somebody had to tell him this. With his clueless arse, he would have kept doing it!

Makes me wonder who's the dumber <Expletives Deleted>?

Mike Woodson for finally realizing that you can't blindly follow substitution rules (of course it will backfire because Al and Josh have never been given a chance to learn how to play with fouls on them) or Billy Knight who took several years to realize that you can't win with a 3rd rate PG?

I'm thinking the answer is Woodson. I think BK was just being stubborn to the point of idiocy while Woodson has had many chances to show he's learned but instead repeats the same stuff over and over.

Yea Billy learned that a legit PG is needed for winning...too bad he took this long to realize that you cant win with a 3rd rate coach.

No it really is a chicken-egg question. Woody mismanages our bench pretty awfully but we are still understocked in the depth department. Would Woody look better if we had a backup big man of any kind at all? Yes, should he be able to manage what we do have a lot better? Also yes.

Woody is a conundrum. He can play 2 guys 45 minutes a game even in blowouts and yet sit another guy 18 minutes in the first half just because he gets 2 fouls. Now I realize that if Joe had really wanted some rest during the year he should have occasionally got into early foul trouble.
