Spurs sign DerMarr Johnson

Post#1 » by Nolan » Fri Apr 11, 2008 6:35 pm

Details haven't been released but i'm guessing they signed him for the rest of the season. Looks like our playoff roster is complete.

Finally... we get some you youth with height and offensive prowess.

Verdict still out on Bobby Jones. Has made at least one steal per game he's played. But he certainly looked lost in offense in our loss against the Jazz.

DeMarr can light it up... he drained 3 consecutive 3's when he last played for us.

I don't think he is a difference maker... but what is this the 7th swing player we signed after the James White Era?

Well, I'm kinda expecting Bobby Jones back in the summer (assuming he's gone). Regardless, with his situation, he will make it somewhere in the league.

I don't mind DJ again... he has some ability and is has good height, length, and athleticism.

Denver snatched him back up quickly after you let him go for the remainder of this season and a non-guaranteed deal for next.

Hopefully he sticks there then, I don't know why they let him go originally, he showed well there before. Just the kind of swingman they need, and would be a very good complement to Carmelo when AI is gone.

I agree. I was happy to see that the Nuggets got him back, and I am also glad to see DJ make it back into the league.

I see this as a total non move that will have no effect at all.
