I take no offense Collin. I was just looking for an explanation instead of a conclusory statement. Just makes for better discussion, that's all. I see what you're getting at, maybe Wittman is being hard on McCants, giving him some tough love. I had the same relationship with my coach back in Junior High. Larry Brown the same relationship with AI. Often players will look back and understand what their coach was trying to do and respect them more for it.

its not that deep most the college teams have been avg and most the players have huge flaws in there game

outside of the top 2 theres nothing but ok players who most of them wont even be as good as mccants

I just flat out disagree. The draft is really really young this year, so yes of course the players will have flaws. A lot of the players have tons of upside and are intriguing players though.

Let's open up are imaginations for a second.

Randolph could become a Chris Bosh clone.

Jordan could be an allstar center.

Gallinari could be a Dirk clone.

Donte Greene could become a deadly scorer in the Rashard Lewis mold.

McGee could develop into a Camby clone.

I could see CDR being a 20ppg scorer.

I could see Shan Foster becoming the next Michael Redd.

Sounds Ridiculous I know. But if two of the 7 came true, I wouldn't be surprised. I really would like the Wolves to gamble on the upside of one of these players. The potential value is really high for where they might go in the draft. Foster could actually probably be had in the 2nd round, but if we trade Mccants that would open up playing time for him.

I think the ideal place for him to be traded if indeed the wolves are open to trading him is Denver. Depending who comes out this year, it will be a relatively strong draft class in terms of bigs. I think even with JR Smith playing good that they are still looking for a legit outside shooter. You also have to consider that he will be looking to get paid this offseason along with the AI extension that is looming. McCants is relatively affordable and would be a rotation player on their team. I think there is a smaller chance that they draft someone and he becomes a rotation during the season.

Moving Shad for a late lotto only makes sense if we are specifically targetting someone. As a prospect Shad has legit value.
