Which Team Would You Want?

Post#1 » by DanTown8587 » Sat Apr 12, 2008 2:28 am

I am not saying who is the most talented or more likely to win the NBA title but I am saying, which team would you want to have. That means players on the roster, players who are overseas, available draft picks, possible FA plays and assets that can be dealt. And this is the roster for at least the next five years, so maybe you would want Boston this year, but maybe the Lakers for the next five. And please, don't give me arguments about your favorite team, I am being as subjective as I can. Anyway, here is how I will do it: I will start a poll for the six divisions and after we get a clear cut winner in each division, we will start the countdown.

Good topic, but belongs on the Player Comparison board.

I like what we have in NO a lot, but I'll take Portland as a young GM looking to make a name for myself.

I'd say the top 3 are probably Portland, New Orleans & Orlando.

I'd hate to be the GM of Orlando now. The Rashard Lewis deal financially screws them for the next half decade.

I'd pick Portland, but since they're my team and they've already been picked, I'd go with Atlanta.

I'm really high on Horford and Smith, and I couldn't be any worse than the management they already have.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Will he want to stay if management is ridiculously incompetent?

LA Lakers, New Orleans, Portland, Utah seem all like fun teams with good coaches.
If I had to choose one, I'd pick the Lakers.

I'd pick the Lakers. Exciting team that can win now and later. Best player in the league, up and coming young big man, long big frontcurt, savvy point guard and a young bench contributing well.

Agree that Portland, New Orleans & Orlando should be the the top 3...maybe with cleveland at 4 just coz of LBJ.

I'd rank them:
1. New Orleans...you can build so easily around Paul
2. Portland...Oden plus so many youngsters
3. Orlando...would be top if not for Rashards contract, which pretty much ties your hands

HM: Philly, Utah, Atlanta, Minnesota...coz all of them have pretty nice and young teams

another thought:
taking Phoenix and messing up the team like Isiah did with NY ;)
