I was looking at the box scores from both our team and Boston, and one glaring stat was the minutes played.

None of the Boston starters played more then 25 minutes last night (only one player, Posey, played 27 mins).....while Joe played 44 minutes, Bibby played 42, Smoove played 40, Marvin played 40, and Horford played 34.

Also Boston's bench score 45 points.....our bench scored 8 last night.

We gotta fight for our lives tonight and show Boston that we arent an easy first round opponent.

RUN...RUN....RUN....and we Joe and Bibby to duplicate last night's shooting clinic! And we need the bench to step up BIG TIME! Let KG front the scoring load (he doesn't look to do that) and shut down Pierce and Allen. Especially Pierce!

A win tonight would not shock me....being that we've beaten the league's elite at home this season.

Hawks by two in overtime!

We can hang with their starters, but when the benches come into play that's what pushes them way over the top. We have maybe the best bench player of the teams, but their entire bench is better than our second best guy. They also have a back up for each position. And they use them. Must be nice.

Are Boston playing their starters in the second half? I know they haven't lately, but was thinking it may be because they are jumping out to huge leads and just sitting them in the 3rd and 4th quarters. We need to just play them hard with their starters in, and then go right at them when they are resting.

I think their starters will play around 20-25 min tonight. Of course it could change depending on how the game goes. I watched them play the Wiz a few days ago and I was amazed by how much trouble they had when Washington pushed the tempo. I think that's what we got to do. They're a very good defensive team, so we better find some baskets in transition. This is a crucial game for us. If we win, we get the 8th seed no matter what. If we lose, then we have a must win game against the Magic here and then the Heat in Miami.
GO HAWKS.

They are just killing teams without trying right now. Hopefully the guys come out with some fire on the home floor and get a pretty big lead and make Doc Rivers pull his starters for some rest.

I'm most worried about Rondo. I guess if we start out with Al on KG than Josh can give help when Rondo inevitably blows by Bibby... but I think KG might be a little quick for Al. It'll be important to pull Perkins out on the PnR because he's slow and both Josh and Al can run that.

Its doable but I could also see the Cs just murdering us in the first and then chilling on their lead. Of course we are more talented than the Bucks and have more to play for so if its our starters v. their bench I feel more confident. Hope I don't eat those words.

Go Hawks.

Hey guys, I like your young guns. Josh Smith especially has really been good this season.

I think the C's will really want this one tonight. They know that the Hawks will probably be their 1st round opponents so they want to demoralize them.

Good Luck in the future.

Woodson is such an idiot. Yes this is a recording.

Smith picks up 2 fouls and then sits the rest of the half. :banghead:

Here's to hoping some one smacks KG or Pierce in the 2nd half. Why in the hell are they talking so much trash in a meaningless game for them? It's nice to see that Horford didn't back down from KG.

Woody is also an idiot for sitting Smith and Bibby with 2 fouls. This idiot basically blew the game by playing Zaza/Solo/Salim so many minutes in a huge game. Zaza and Solo 0 rebounds a piece and 12 combined minutes....none of them should be in the game. I thought Sekou reminded Woody that you don't have to sit players for the rest of the half with 2 fouls?

Wow...Horford and Smoove playing with some heart. Horford has to keep shooting those midrange jumpers when they give it to him. The Hawks are playing well...imagine how much better they would be playing if not for the refs(how many late ****** whitles are you going to call for them?)and Woody?

Game over. The refs gave us no calls down the stretch but Cassell decided to turn into Kobe. We played the Celtics starters even through 3 quarters which is a positive sign.

The good news is that Indy lost AT HOME to Charlotte which means we are basically in(if we can beat an NBDL team). It would have been nice to clinch tonight but oh well.

Indy is going to have a tough time getting past Washington on Monday, so it may not even matter.

I can't stand M. Woodson. He can't come up with any adjustments to stop Cassel when their team has no other play but his jump shot. You got to love Horford. JJ had a bad night. Now, these refs were horrible, I'm just expecting the Celtics to get a lot calls in the playoffs. Man, Big baby is better than Zaza, that's how much our bench sucks.
GO HAWKS.
