Poll: If Bynum doesnt return this season...

Post#1 » by LA Warrior » Sat Apr 12, 2008 7:19 pm

I personally think we can win it all without Drew. That not taking anything away from him its just that we've played all the west teams well without him (and Pau for that matter) well. Pau just compliments Kobe very well. His basketball IQ is extremely high and he plays very under control. If we were to meet Boston in the finals i like our chances. Dont get me wrong I would LOVE to have Bynum but were a deep team and heres our chance to prove it.

Bynum will be back. Kobe and Pau will hold it down and get Bynum back with his team just in time to dismantle the C's

thats what I've been hearing for weeks.

On a side note if we did win it all without Drew i think that would be a huge ego shot to the kid...

He will be back when Kobe decides he wants him back.

Discuss.

if hes not back the series will be simply who can out score the other because Shaq and Amare will be attacking like crazy, but those same too will get eaten alive by the Gasol/Bryant pick n' roll.

Shaq's way to slow and Amare is not the most intelligent defensive player to say the least... :D

I hope he comes back soon, but reading the paper he's not even cleared to practice and is still feeling swelling in his leg. Its been 12 weeks since he got hurt. Talk about frustrating. If we can grab that first seed, id rather play the nuggets in the first round over the mavs. Then in the second round. The spurs and suns will likely be in that bracket. We need Drew for those teams.

Lakers can't win without him, and he knows it. I'd be very surprised if Bynum isn't back soon, and shocked if he missed the entire postseason. In fact, that would be an ominous sign of his toughness. A dislocated kneecap does not end careers or even seasons.

I've had a similar type of injury to my knee. The Lakers are making him go through a mini trainning camp b4 they play him. He will be cleared 2 practice at the end of regular season. Inbetween the last game and the 1st Playoff game Bynum will practice giving him time to to work with his teammates. Bynum is still raw basketball intelligance wise. So they are treating the injury by making it seem like Jan thru April was the offseason for Bynum. Expect 10 mins per game in the first round and starting 2nd round

WTF? That's just pure speculation. That would be great but I seriously think it's wishful thinking.

Trust me, the knee was messed up bad. It'll be a miracle if we even see Bynum soon. Take the report at face value.

Phil said last night that his trip to NY to see the Dr. was outside of the Lakers and his agent arranged for the second opinion. The knee specialist is the one that said it could be 1 week or 6 weeks. From the way Phil made it sound, is that they think he should be ready to go , but Andrew and his agent are obviously thinking longterm too.

Thanx for the info. From what I've been hearing i thought this was the case. By comming back Bynum can only hurt his stock so I'm sure his agent is taking no chances which is understandable.

Personally i say 2 more weeks and then Drew comes back because he wants to play!

I was thinking that to and I believe he will be back and I also even doubted if they could win the first round and I even said tht he other day but after seeing them in 1st and realizing we have Kobe and nobody else does why can't we win? Is Boston really that good? If they were in the West would they be 1st because we are. Plus Bynum is coming back it just won't be against Denver but it probably will be game 4 of the 2nd round.

If Bynum returns then every other team should just give up.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
