Great deal for last home game of season on Monday

Post#1 » by GrandAdmiralDan » Sat Apr 12, 2008 5:28 am

-All $29 and $24 tickets will be discounted to $10
-Over 150 prizes given away all night including the game worn shoes and jerseys of the players
-5 or more tickets will get you a bobblehead per ticket personally delivered at the game
-Bucks are matching the amount of tickets purchased with free tickets for a game next November (you know, that magical month when hope springs eternal)

This is a real long shot, as the prospect of finding 50 people to go to a Bucks game yet this season seems absurdly remote, BUT there is an insanely good deal on tickets if you buy a block of 50.

-50 or more people, tickets are only $5 each
- the first 2 people that put a group like that together receive a ball autographed by the whole team (if we would do this, I would say we conduct some kind of drawing for the ball maybe)

If anyone wants in on this, email me at that fanrevolt@gmail.com email address (yes, I realize the irony of using that for this).

Now, I see no way that there would be 50 of us at this point willing to go to this thing, but if there were, I bet an additional bonus I could get for us would be like a 10 minute meet and greet with new GM John Hammond. We could all give him a show of hands on who wants Mo and/or Redd traded or something like that ;)

I don't know, that's a pretty sweet deal. Basically $5 gets you a $29/$24 ticket to this game, a game next November, a bobblehead, and a 1/50 shot to win that autographed game ball.

Or, if we are talking just a smaller group, that would be $10 for a $29/$24 ticket to this game, a game next November, and a bobblehead.

However, a number of people here probably have some of their ticket bank left they would want to use on this game instead.

Well, I figured I'd put this out there.
My ticket guy has been nice to me, so I'll try to help him out if I can.

That's a great deal. If I lived in Milwaukee, I would just buy the 50 tickets myself, and hope that I could eventually unload enough of them to be left with an almost free team ball. If it ends up you can only sell 20 of the tickets, then you paid $150 for a ball auto'd by the entire team, and a ticket to a game next year. Not bad.

According to our earlier thread it's $5.

No, that's not the same thing at all.

I'm posting a deal that I can get through my ticket rep.

There would be no additional fees. That Ticket Master link will charge you all sorts of fees. Try ordering 2 $5 tickets off of that link. You will wind up having $9.05 of fees tacked on meaning your total will be $19.05 for 2 tickets, not $10 for the pair.

So it is $0.95 cheaper per pair of tickets than my deal for tickets (and of course 50 or more people gets an even better deal) except that all you get is tickets to this one game, whereas if you get at least 5 tickets through my deal, you also get a bobblehead AND a matching ticket for a game in November. No comparison.

To show approval for the Hammonds hire you should do the opposite of placing bags on your heads. Maybe cut a circle out of the bags to make a halo. Or half a bag until a legitimate head coach is named.

We could show up with Jurassic Park shirts and canes with amber-encased mosquitoes on the top, in honor of John Hammond.

Great, thanks. I didn't bother comparing them side by side.

Understandable.
The Bucks aren't exactly an exciting draw at this point so I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only one on here that bothered to check :)

And to be honest, the only reason I checked for the fees is that, as you may recall, those absurd Ticket Master fees are one of my pet peeves so I figured they'd be hidden in there and wanted to check.

Well it looks like everyone is too sick of this team to do the deal. I know I am but I would go and buy up to 4 tickets just to talk to John Hammond. However I am flying to Portugal on Tuesday for work so I think I am just going to take it easy Monday night. Sorry GAD.

My first question for Hammond would be
What are you going to do when Ron Walter and Kohl start meddling?

Seriously Hammond needs a game plan for that cause it will inevitably happen. I myself would have a meeting with both and tell them, "listen we are doing this my way or else I am resigning and I won't be afraid to say why I am resigning." Its not like teams won't be lined up to offer him a job and I am sure Dumars would hire him back in the meantime if he wanted.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
