F- for Reggie in this game.
Oh come on! Hawes got 24 minutes tonight and played fairly well in those minutes. Shelden was about the same as was Moore. Reggie was trying to win and he put the combinations on the floor that appeared to give him the best opportunity to do so. Just because Hawes was not on the floor at the end of the game does not mean that he was not given the opportunity to contribute (which he did). He just didn't happen to be part of the combination that looked like they would deliver the win. Get over it.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Well we would have lost if Spencer had been in. But if you're cool with that....
Regardless, Spencer has been getting plenty of minutes recently.
Right now is the worst time of the season to be caring about wins. This "win" cost us:
1. Valuable crunchtime experience for Hawes and Shelden
2. A chance to keep the Lakers away from the top spot
3. Some breathing room from Portland in terms of draft picks

Wow! What a win right there
I love it, I've really not liked the Hornets since 2006
.
It got iffy in the final seconds, though, jeez.
Definitely surprised how this game went, I thought NO would just control the game for the most part and win. Maybe even blow us out after how they lost to the Lakers, and was an emotional game.
Our defense was impressively solid over the course of the game - especially evident in the 4th qtr.
Ron, Cisco's good moments (up and down game), Salmons were just awesome. Hawes and Shelden both had nice games, too, I really dug what I saw from them both. Pretty good game by Douby as well. Salmons with 11 rebounds is sweet.
Ron just played such a good two-way game in the end, though, he began to step up his offensive game later in that third qtr and carried it higher into the 4th qtr. As well as defensively. Just so fun to watch.

Yeah, we all know that there is such a HUGE difference between the 12th and 13th pick...especially in this draft.

Portland is rebuilding quite nicely without any extra favors from us. But sure, let's just keep winning with the 32 year old Moore, 28 year old Artest and 28 year old Salmons in the lineup and pretend that's building for the future

Moore can be an expiring contract next year. Artest IS an expiring contract next year. Now lets not forget that Artest, Salmons and Moore (lately, for the most part) actually do contribute to the team, unlike guys like Kenny Thomas. And the last time I checked, Petrie's rebuilding plan looks to be working...we have improved a lot since last year. Face it, you're just pissed because Petrie's path for rebuilding doesn't include gutting the team and replacing everybody with a bunch of young "hopeful" prospects. You're just stretching for excuses to not like what's going on and are ignoring the accomplishments.

Expiring contracts are only useful if they are traded for a bigger contract for a better player or if they are let go of for capspace in the offseason. Either way, the best scenario for an expiring contract is if the player is not on the roster. So yay, we just won a game with guys who ideally won't even be on the team in a year or two over a guy who is arguably our most hopeful prospect.

We had a time out... Need a defensive stop here...
