This really throws a spanner in the works.

Lakers now looking good for the #1 seed, Houston could yet grab either #2 or #3, with the Hornets still vulnerable for a drop to 5th position.

Good lord...why do teams repeatedly give opponents an opportunity to get off game-tying 3s??? I'll never understand why they don't just foul and make them shoot two, especially with so little time on the clock.

I wish I were that confident. At least our destiny is in our own hands, which is all you can ask for. Otherwise, after watching the Lakers lose to Memphis and Charlotte, I take nothing for granted.
