Key Matchup:
Image vs. Image
Biggest game of the season, Iverson needs to step up like he did against Golden State. Maybe another notch.

Last Meeting: March 2nd, 2008
103-89 Houston victory
Denver scored just 40 first half points
Battier was 5/10 from 3 for 20 points
Carmelo & Iverson combined for just 14/39 from the field

Denver: 47-32
Rank 10th in offense and 10th in defense
Nene's doubtful with a strained groin.
Need to win remaining 2 games to clinch playoff berth (or hope golden state loses to Phoenix)

Keys to winning:
Treating every possession like a playoff possession in every way.

Last 5 Games:
L Utah
W Golden State
W Clippers
L Seattle
L Sacramento

Houston: 54-25
Rank 15th in offense and 2nd in defense.
Shane Battier is questionable with a bruised foot. He missed the previous game against Phoenix with the same injury.
Yao's still out with a foot injury.

Last 5 Games:
W Phoenix
W Seattle
W Clippers
W Seattle
W Portland

Playoff Picture: - as of saturday night
8th seed - matched up with the lakers if playoffs started today
tied with golden state, but own the tiebreaker
2 games behind dallas for the 7th seed

Another biggest game of the season.
Houston beated Phoenix at Phoenix. Nuggets need to play smart, and rebound the damn ball. I already see that rookie Scola owning Camby and Kenyon on the boards.

P.S. Keys to winning: Start JR!

Wont happen we have the CBA scrub starting. How many points will we go down by before Jr enters the game tomorrow?

Carter must talk with Karl. He must tell him the truth
"You r nice coach to me. But plz i am not a starter. I can play 15-20 min from the bench, Plz coach do not put me in this difficult situation"

I say about 8 or 9 points.
McGrady will involve teammates first and then school AC in the crunch time.
Good start will be needed tomorrow, period.

I'm not quite sure, but it's like 6-12 or 6-13.

I think if we get down big early tomorrow night the team will give up like they did after the BS flagrant call tonight. At this point the only way I see us making the dance, is to hope for a suns win against the warriors and us winning against Memphis.

I have to agree with you...I can't see The Nuggets winning this game against Houston...they are terrible in back to backs...and Houston's defense even without Battier gave Phoenix fits.

I doubt it since they have a chance for homecourt advantage

they key to this game has got to be melo on mcgrady.

the only way we win this game is if we can contain mcgrady.

if we have to double mcgrady or put help defense on mcgrady...this game is over.

last game...melo did a decent job on mcgrady, but we switched on pick-and-rolls and camby was forced into guarding mcgrady one-on-one multiple possessions. karl switched to k-mart on mcgrady (t-mac drove right past him) and put carter on t-mac (t-mac shot right over him). we ended up having to double mcgrady and all hell broke loose. he's a gifted passer and always fed the open perimeter shooter. alston and battier buried three's and blew us out of the water.

our biggest weakness right now is defending a guy at the 2-3 position(s). that's why playing the lakers in the playoffs is a bad idea for the nuggets.

This will be the hardest game of the season. Houston is a great defensive team. We are going to have the play the best defensive game of our lives to beat them. I don't like our chances to be hoenst with you but they did man up on thursday so lets see if they can man up at home tonight. And JR is going to have to play 30+ minutes for us to stand a chance.

god damn i didn't even realize that this is a back-to-back game. SH*T! i think we should win the last two. i think golden state will lose against phoenix but let's not start to gamble again and make sure we make the playoffs!

BTW 50 wins sounds muuuuuch better than 49 ;)

good thing about it... it's a home game 8) !

Have to win this game, i believe all the players know how important this game is and frankly i see us winning this game because 1) with a win a we'll likely clinch a playoff birth 2) were playing at home, i know this is a back to back but i have faith in them to get the job done and since it's my birthday today a win will make me very happy.
