Jeez people, a Houston fan is accusing us of wanting recognition? Wasn't there a thread yesterday asking for respect for Houston? Is it only your team that allowed these kind of threads on the GB? And with people bitching and moaning about tanking every now and then on the GB, it is nice to see the Kings keeping the sportsman and the competitive spirit of the game, these terms might sound like bubbling in some foreign language to some of you but yeah, they exist.
The Bobbcats also deserve some recognition for this.

It's about time the Kings were relevant.

They are better than some of the playoff teams in the east. They have the best perimeter defender (Artest), the best rookie (Hawes), and the best player in the NBA (Kevin Martin). :D

I don't think anyone's really hating on the Kings.. It's just that this is the 2nd or 3rd thread in the last few weeks claiming on how the kings can be the "spoilers" in the West or whatnot. I mean we get the point.. no one really cares anymore.

And that "Houston gets disrespected" thread was also pointless IMO. We haven't done anything yet to earn any respect, so why should we receive any?

Kings are very good. They just need some worthwhile players.

I mean I'm not gonna lie, I would have to say the Kings are my least favorite team, so thats why I would consider myself probably bashing them. But I am man enough to say I have some respect for them because they didn't quit this year, like a lot of teams have.

I as a Spurs fan am not overly confident about The Spurs beating The Kings in Sactown.. Earlier in the year the Kings blew out the Spurs at Arco.

Kings have a lot of good players eg Salmons, Kmart, Artest, Hawes, Garcia, Udrih, Mikki Moore. What they need is that one superstar to build around. Kmart isn't quite there and Artest is not leader material.

The West is going to be even more loaded next year. I think the top team will have 50 wins next year.

Kings will be better. Clips will be better. Blazers will be better. It's crazy......

When it comes down to it i really believe the Kings get respect around the league. Still not contenders though until we get a defensive/rebounding presence down low.

Yeah, that is one way to look at it. But I think we are following the Piston's team model structure (No Superstar) IMO.... We just need a coherent, good (I mean by allstars ) unit that knows their role...

Houston controls who is #1. If San Antonio wins out and New Orleans as well as Houston, the Rockets are the #1. IF the Lakers win out and New Orleans as well as Houston, the Rockets are the #1. Basically Rockets are #1 no matter what happens if they win the next 3 games.

I thought the Spurs hold the tie breaker against the Rockets? If the Spurs win all 3 games and Rockets win all 3 games as well, The Spurs is #1 seed due to the tie breaker IMO.

That's not true, if NOH, Lakers, and Rockets win out then Lakers are number one. They all would have the same record and since NOH owns the tiebreaker against the Rockets, NOH would be number 2.

It's kind of confusing, but I think i'm right. Since Rockets and NOH are in the same division and the top 4 is division leaders, NOH would win the division because they have the tiebreaker so therefore Rockets couldn't be number 1.

They even announced it during the Lakers & Spurs games. I didnt even realize this, but apparently if the Lakers, Hornets, and Rockets all tie for first place. The Rockets hold the tiebreaker and will be the first seed. I'm not sure how that would work, but things can be very interesting if the Rockets take there next 3 games.

No no I just worked it out. Here's how it would go down if all 3 teams: NO, HOU, and LA win out their remaining games and end up 57-25; First and foremost we have to determine the division winner so it comes down to HOU vs. NO and the season series is tied 2-2; so next we have to look and division record which NO has the edge on. So NO WOULD BE AHEAD OF HOU IN THE STANDINGS. So then it becomes NO vs. LA which LA has the tie breaker over NO, so Lakers would be 1, NO 2, and Houston 3. Even though if it was Hou vs. LA Houston would have the tie-breaker, but remember must determine division winner first.

But really, as nice as it is to say something about our Kings, I think these type of threads just make us, as fans, seem like stupid a$$es. Instead of saying that we can change the playoffs standings, we should just sit in the shadows and seem like a weak little lottery team..until suddenly, surprise the playoff teams by beating them.

Threads like these are going to encourage other fans to come out next week and laugh in our faces (if we lose to the Spurs/Lakers) saying "HAHA TOLD YA IT DOESN'T MATTER KINGS DON'T CONTROL ANYTHING BUT THEIR TV SETS DURING THE PLAYOFFS LOL"

How ironic, now I'm actually hoping for the Kings to win out their remaining games. This thread is finally somewhat significant to me.
