I wish they would learn from each other.

Deng needs Gordon's confidence, clutch ability and desire to be the man.

Gordon needs Deng's consistency.

Even without that, you would think they would compliment each other pretty good because of their differences. They certainly did last year, and were the Bulls leading tandem in +/- as a unit.

I think it's too early for the Bulls to give up on them. Deng is about to turn just 23 and Gordon just 25 a week ago. Paxson has cause to move one or the other, but it might be dumb with their value reduced by the current season.

I can see Gordon having a "Manu Ginobilli" role with a contender off the bench. I don't think he is most effective as a starter. They are both complimentary players. The Bulls would best be served in trading or signing a player like Elton Brand and have him surrounded by players like Deng and Gordon. You can't have your top players are outside shooters*. They are going to have bad shooting nights if there isn't a low post player to spread the floor.

While I agree with Deng being a #3 option at best on a playoff team, Gordon is a #2. And Gordon is much more effective as a starter, he does get off to slow starts though in the beginning of the season. I just can't wait until we get a competent coach and hopefully, one day, some assistants who know how to develop talent. We still have Tim Floyd's leftovers for no reason!
