new orleans has shooters and penetrators who can push the pace, get into the paint and knock down perimeter shots...which allows you to make up points in a hurry.
finley/bowen are san antonio's only shooters in this game, and bowen can only shoot from the corner. and finley just hasn't been good for awhile now.
parker's the teams only real penetrator...and he's not on chris paul's level.
the spurs can't recover from being down like other teams can. with ginobili and barry...perhaps. but pop knows they can't without those two. so why waste energy?

What did he say?
Basically JVG and Jackson are discussing who should be MVP, and JVG is saying how the Lakers being one of the top teams wasn't really a surprise. Along with that he said that Paul "made" West into an All-Star, while Kobe's layers just "improved".

GG Spurs fans, As a Laker fan im very aware things will be different next time around when Manu Ginobli comes back and Tim Duncan isn't always gonna miss those shots..
Great game from the Lakers standpoint in the 2nd hAlf of locking down on Defense and running the offense, It was a statement game but things will be much tougher come playoff time

It will always be unfair...we are comapring a wing to a ball-handling PG. Plus Kobe is playing in triangle offense, which put more emphasis on off-ball movement and every players own reading of the game.
I am just glad that Lakers gets the best record in the West now. I am sure Kobe feels the same too.
