The Final Countdown Begins for Air Pat!!

Post#1 » by magicfan4life05 » Mon Apr 14, 2008 1:07 am

After 7 LONG years and being the magic longest tenured player, we now know we have at least 7 more games left with this enigma that is PATRICK JOSEPH GARRITY

He will be missed, his professionalism was off the charts and so was his shot, for better or for worse. He was hero to some, and a devil to others.

But what no one could take away from him was his playing time. LOL just kidding i meant his contract...

To you, garrity i salute you, and for one more time, PG43!!!!!!

Pat Bastard may have something to say in the playoffs, so I wouldn't say good bye quite yet.

Yeah, I've been singing this song for a long time now, yet he managed to stick around. Don't discount a loyalty signing for vet minimum.

You all know you'll be bowing at Pat Garrity's royal feet when he cans a 3 in game 7 of the Finals to give the Magic the championship....it's gonna happen.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

I was thinking that too, that otis would resign him cuz he's been around forever. Meh maybe... what are the chances he retires? I couldn't see him with another team could you?

I think if the Magic don't give him a contract he'll retire.

Augmon and Outlaw both got a bonus year (and Outlaw almost got a second). I expect that Garrity will get an invite to the Summer league to see if he can make the team.

or...

... he retires.

The thing is that Air-Pat has been so faithful to the Magic, that GM Smith might eye another season to see if Pat can win a ring. (yes I am saying that the Magic will contend next year).

I won't believe he's gone until he's actually gone.

And I would be sad, in a way, but happy in many others. He's been a fixture of the Magic for so long. As long as he doesn't play, I like having him on the team, just cause he's a good guy and you can't go wrong having Patman on your team. And really SVG hasn't played him except when he's had to.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

He's provided many good memories over the years.
