Intersting comments but I would have to think that their ridiculously poor FT shooting could have the same impact as shaving they can turn a laugher into a last second shot in a blink. Being in a no fouls mode not to stop the clock and it looks pretty bad. It happened in the tournament this year.
It appears that there will be good wing prospects in the 2nd round and even undrafted, so I don't know that Ainge will look for anyone at that spot that isn't the total package. I have a hunch that Devon Hardin, who is a defender/rebounder with good size at the center spot out of Cal would be a the kind of move the C's will go with in the 1st if they don't look to move the pick.

As a Cal fan I'm just stumped about Hardin. He is one of those total package guys who should just dominate games, but he only seems to show up for about a quarter of the game, and the rest of the time is mostly invisible. It's not that he doesn't care or doesn't work hard, so it's strange. But he's kind of the anti-Powe, a guy who has all the tools except a sense for how to make an impact in a game.
I wouldn't mind him at 30, maybe Clifford Ray can get him to be more productive. But I wouldn't be thrilled either. I am a big believer in productivity over physical specimens.
I do think we need to think about developing a SG starter to replace Ray. If there is a high upside SG I'd go for that. I don't know much about Douglas-Roberts, but he seems like a possible fit.
