How would you rate Dwayne Wade's season?

I don't know how Wade could have carried this team. In the beginning of the season, they had the worst PG situation in the league, Shaq was absolutely useless, and the only competent forwards being a mediocre Wright and Haslem. Not to mention no depth WHATSOEVER. It's been so bad that D-Leaguer nobody Chris Quinn consistently outplayed J-Williams. There is no way this team could have had a better season.

Add to that, Wade was injured the entire year. I'd just not rate him this year and wait for next year.

I think you are all forgetting how good Wade is.

He is relentless, he is consistent ... and it was pretty clear that Miami was tanking this season from the beginning.

If you watched any Heat games whatsoever, there was no thrust in Wade. It was like he didnt care, and he didnt. Miami was in fact tanking this season from the start.

He'll be back next year, or at least the one after the next. Miami should have a really active offseason where they try to acquie some key role players to help contribute to the team.

his setting himself up for a mvp next season, and make the excuse of last seasons performance and the season b4 that, as he is due for one.

I actually agree. Fans have a habit of dogging players who "quit" on their teams due to injuries. Then, when their careers get halted, or limited by an injury they tried to play through (see Grant Hill), they blame them for being trying to play through it instead of being smart.

Kidd practically played on one leg the year the Nets lost to the Pistons in seven games. Should he have just sat that one out, have surgery earlier, and perhaps not do as much damage that microfracture surgery was needed (and thus preserving his career even longer)?

Hill did the same thing (except his was his ankle) and was never right after. I'm sure there are many other players who had injuries but kept playing through it because their team were in the playoffs (or playoff hunt) and ended up severely hurting the longevity of their career because of it.

Right, I doln't see this whole "inability to lead a team" thing. Was Jordan unable to lead a team in his second season?

I guess most people here don't watch the games and just assume that he "is unable to lead a team" because his stats are down and the team sucks. It was pretty obvious he was injured, probably shouldn't have been playing, and overestimated how good the rest of the cast would be.
